because they rejected my laws and did not follow my decrees and desecrated my Sabbaths. For their hearts were devoted to their idols.

But they turned their backs on my laws. They did not obey my rules. They misused my Sabbath days. Their hearts were committed to worshiping the statues of their gods.

穗子是用来提醒他们要遵行我的一切命令，不要随从自己心中和眼目的情欲，以免玷污自己。

“人子啊，这些人在心里立起偶像，把导致犯罪的绊脚石放在自己面前，我岂能让他们来求问？你告诉他们，主耶和华这样说，‘任何以色列人若在心里立起偶像，把导致犯罪的绊脚石放在自己面前，又来求问先知，我耶和华必按他心中假神的数目亲自用惩罚回答他，

“‘然而，他们却背叛我，不听我的话，没有除去他们祭拜的可憎之物和埃及的偶像。我本想在埃及向他们发烈怒，倾倒我的怒火，

百姓见摩西迟迟没有下山，就聚集到亚伦那里，对他说：“领我们离开埃及的那个摩西不知怎样了，你给我们造神像来带领我们吧。”亚伦对他们说：“你们去摘下妻子、儿女的金耳环，拿来给我。”百姓就都摘下金耳环交给亚伦。亚伦用这些金耳环铸造了一头牛犊。他们说：“以色列人啊，这就是把你们带出埃及的神明。”亚伦见状，便在牛犊前面筑了一座坛，然后宣告说：“明天是耶和华定的节期。”第二天清晨，百姓都上前来献燔祭和平安祭，献完祭后就坐下吃喝，起来狂欢。耶和华对摩西说：“你快下山吧，你的百姓，就是你从埃及领出来的那些人已经败坏了。他们这么快就偏离了我吩咐他们走的道路，为自己造了一头牛犊来叩拜献祭，说，‘以色列人啊，这就是把你们带出埃及的神明。’”

以色列家啊，在旷野的四十年间，你们向我献过祭物和供品吗？你们抬着为自己造的神像——你们的王撒固和星神迦温。

那些女子邀他们参加祭祀，他们吃了祭物，并跪拜她们的神明，

她没有放弃在埃及的淫荡行为，她年轻的时候就任人玩弄、发泄情欲。

“可是我们的祖先不听从他，甚至弃绝他，心里对埃及恋恋不舍。他们请求亚伦说，‘为我们造一些神像来带领我们吧！领我们离开埃及的那个摩西不知怎样了。’于是，他们造了一个牛犊像，向它献祭，并为自己所做的事沾沾自喜。因此，上帝转脸不顾他们，任由他们祭拜日月星辰，正如先知书的记载，“‘以色列家啊，在旷野的四十年间，你们向我献过祭物和供品吗？你们抬着为自己所造的神像，就是摩洛的帐篷和理番神明的星，祭拜它们，所以我要把你们赶到比巴比伦还远的地方去。’

“‘可是，以色列人却在旷野背叛我，不遵行我的律例和典章——遵行的人必活着，大肆亵渎我的安息日。我本想在旷野向他们发烈怒，灭绝他们。但我没有这样做，以免我的名在周围列邦面前被亵渎，因为列邦亲眼看见我向以色列人显现，把他们带出埃及。
