耶羅波安對他的妻說：「你可以起來改裝，使人不知道你是耶羅波安的妻，往示羅去，在那裏有先知亞希雅。他曾告訴我說，你必作這民的王。現在你要帶十個餅，與幾個薄餅，和一瓶蜜去見他，他必告訴你兒子將要怎樣。」耶羅波安的妻就這樣行，起身往示羅去，到了亞希雅的家。亞希雅因年紀老邁，眼目發直，不能看見。耶和華先曉諭亞希雅說：「耶羅波安的妻要來問你，因她兒子病了，你當如此如此告訴她。她進來的時候必裝作別的婦人。」她剛進門，亞希雅聽見她腳步的響聲，就說：「耶羅波安的妻，進來吧！你為何裝作別的婦人呢？我奉差遣將凶事告訴你。

就打發他們的門徒同希律黨的人去見耶穌，說：「夫子，我們知道你是誠實人，並且誠誠實實傳神的道，甚麼人你都不徇情面，因為你不看人的外貌。

有幾個以色列長老到我這裏來，坐在我面前。耶和華的話就臨到我說：「人子啊，這些人已將他們的假神接到心裏，把陷於罪的絆腳石放在面前，我豈能絲毫被他們求問嗎？

以利沙對以色列王說：「我與你何干？去問你父親的先知和你母親的先知吧！」以色列王對他說：「不要這樣說，耶和華招聚我們這三王，乃要交在摩押人的手裏。」

米該雅到王面前，王問他說：「米該雅啊，我們上去攻取基列的拉末可以不可以？」他回答說：「可以上去，必然得勝，耶和華必將那城交在王的手中。」王對他說：「我當囑咐你幾次，你才奉耶和華的名向我說實話呢？」米該雅說：「我看見以色列眾民散在山上，如同沒有牧人的羊羣一般。耶和華說：『這民沒有主人，他們可以平平安安地各歸各家去。』」以色列王對約沙法說：「我豈沒有告訴你，這人指着我所說的預言，不說吉語單說凶言嗎？」米該雅說：「你要聽耶和華的話！我看見耶和華坐在寶座上，天上的萬軍侍立在他左右。耶和華說：『誰去引誘亞哈上基列的拉末去陣亡呢？』這個就這樣說，那個就那樣說。隨後有一個神靈出來，站在耶和華面前，說：『我去引誘他。』耶和華問他說：『你用何法呢？』他說：『我去，要在他眾先知口中作謊言的靈。』耶和華說：『這樣，你必能引誘他，你去如此行吧！』現在耶和華使謊言的靈入了你這些先知的口，並且耶和華已經命定降禍與你。」基拿拿的兒子西底家前來，打米該雅的臉，說：「耶和華的靈從哪裏離開我與你說話呢？」米該雅說：「你進嚴密的屋子藏躲的那日，就必看見了。」以色列王說：「將米該雅帶回，交給邑宰亞們和王的兒子約阿施，說王如此說，把這個人下在監裏，使他受苦，吃不飽喝不足，等候我平平安安地回來。」米該雅說：「你若能平平安安地回來，那就是耶和華沒有藉我說這話了」；又說：「眾民哪，你們都要聽！」

過了三天，就遇見他在殿裏，坐在教師中間，一面聽，一面問。

她有一個妹子，名叫馬利亞，在耶穌腳前坐着聽他的道。

「人子啊，你本國的子民在牆垣旁邊、在房屋門口談論你。弟兄對弟兄彼此說：『來吧！聽聽有甚麼話從耶和華而出。』他們來到你這裏如同民來聚會，坐在你面前彷彿是我的民。他們聽你的話卻不去行；因為他們的口多顯愛情，心卻追隨財利。他們看你如善於奏樂、聲音幽雅之人所唱的雅歌，他們聽你的話卻不去行。看哪，所說的快要應驗；應驗了，他們就知道在他們中間有了先知。」

西底家王打發人提出他來，在自己的宮內私下問他說：「從耶和華有甚麼話臨到沒有？」耶利米說：「有！」又說：「你必交在巴比倫王手中。」
