“人子啊！至于你，你要听我对你讲的话。不要叛逆我，像那叛逆的民族一样。张开你的口，把我赐给你的吃下去！”

但你呢，人子啊，你可要聽我所告訴你的；不要叛逆，像叛逆之家一樣；你要開口喫我所賜給你的』。

But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like that rebellious people; open your mouth and eat what I give you.”

So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me,“ Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but‘ in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.’” (niv)

When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty. (niv)

The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears; I have not been rebellious, I have not turned away. (niv)

Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. (niv)

“ Aaron will be gathered to his people. He will not enter the land I give the Israelites, because both of you rebelled against my command at the waters of Meribah. (niv)

And he said to me,“ Son of man, listen carefully and take to heart all the words I speak to you. (niv)

not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. (niv)

And he said to me,“ Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the people of Israel.”So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat.Then he said to me,“ Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it.” So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth. He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them,“ Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?”Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron,“ Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”These were the waters of Meribah, where the Israelites quarreled with the Lord and where he was proved holy among them. (niv)

Moses then said to Aaron,“ This is what the Lord spoke of when he said:“‘ Among those who approach me I will be proved holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored.’” Aaron remained silent. (niv)

He cried out to the man of God who had come from Judah,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ You have defied the word of the Lord and have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you.You came back and ate bread and drank water in the place where he told you not to eat or drink. Therefore your body will not be buried in the tomb of your ancestors.’” (niv)
