But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life.

Since they heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, their blood will be on their own head. If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves. (niv)

Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. (niv)
