主耶和华说：恶人死亡，岂是我喜悦的吗？不是喜悦他回头离开所行的道存活吗？

恶人死亡，岂是我所喜悦的呢？我岂不是喜悦他回转离开所行的道而存活吗？这是主耶和华说的。

主耶和华说，我难道喜欢恶人死亡吗？我岂不是更愿他们痛改前非并活着吗？

难道我喜悦恶人死亡吗？我不是喜悦他回转离开他所行的而存活吗？这是主耶和华的宣告。

主耶和華曰、惡人死亡、豈我所悅、我寧不悅其轉離惡途、而得生存乎、

主耶和華曰、維彼惡人、自取死亡、豈我所悅、我豈不以悛改得生為悅乎。

主天主曰、我豈以惡人之死亡為悅乎、我豈不以其悛改惡行而得生存為悅乎、

Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

When sinful people die, it does not give me any joy,” announces the Lord and King.“ But when they turn away from their sins and live, that makes me very happy.

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?

“ Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign Lord. Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live.

Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.“ Instead, don’t I take pleasure when he turns from his ways and lives?

Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God,“ rather than that he would turn from his ways and live?

Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord GOD,“ and not that he should turn from his ways and live?

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? saith the Lord Jehovah; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?

Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” This is the declaration of the Lord God.“ Instead, don’t I take pleasure when he turns from his ways and lives?

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD:[ and] not that he should return from his ways, and live?

Do I actually delight in the death of the wicked, declares the sovereign LORD? Do I not prefer that he turn from his wicked conduct and live?

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” says the Lord Yahweh;“ and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?

For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live! (niv)

Say to them,‘ As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’ (niv)

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (niv)

who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (niv)

the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. (niv)

Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. (niv)

In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (niv)

But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’” (niv)

“ But the father said to his servants,‘ Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate.For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate. (niv)

“ Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety- nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shouldersand goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says,‘ Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming,“ The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.” (niv)

“ How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I treat you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboyim? My heart is changed within me; all my compassion is aroused. (niv)

And they will go to others and say,‘ I have sinned, I have perverted what is right, but I did not get what I deserved.God has delivered me from going down to the pit, and I shall live to enjoy the light of life.’ (niv)

because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. (niv)

Is not Ephraim my dear son, the child in whom I delight? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him,” declares the Lord. (niv)

For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone. (niv)
