Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these[ things mean]? tell[ them], Behold, the king of Babylon is come to Jerusalem, and hath taken the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and led them with him to Babylon;

“ Say to this rebellious people,‘ Do you not know what these things mean?’ Say to them:‘ The king of Babylon went to Jerusalem and carried off her king and her nobles, bringing them back with him to Babylon.

“ These people refuse to obey me. Ask them,‘ Don’t you know what these things mean?’ Tell them,‘ Nebuchadnezzar went to Jerusalem. He was the king of Babylon. He carried off King Jehoiachin and the nobles. He brought them back with him to the city of Babylon.

“ Say now to the rebellious house, Do you not know what these things mean? Tell them, behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took her king and her princes and brought them to him to Babylon.

“ Say to these rebels of Israel: Don’t you understand the meaning of this riddle of the eagles? The king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, took away her king and princes, and brought them to Babylon.

“ Now say to that rebellious house,‘ Don’t you know what these things mean?’ Tell them,‘ The king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, took its king and officials, and brought them back with him to Babylon.

“ Say now to the rebellious house,‘ Do you not know what these things mean?’ Say,‘ Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, took its king and leaders, and brought them to him in Babylon.

“ Say now to the rebellious house:‘ Do you not know what these things mean?’ Tell them,‘ Indeed the king of Babylon went to Jerusalem and took its king and princes, and led them with him to Babylon.

Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and brought them to him to Babylon.

“ Now say to that rebellious house: Don’t you know what these things mean? Tell them: The king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, took its king and officials, and brought them back with him to Babylon.

“ Say to the rebellious house of Israel:‘ Don’t you know what these things mean?’ Say:‘ See here, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and took her king and her officials prisoner and brought them to himself in Babylon.

“ Say now to the rebellious house,‘ Don’t you know what these things mean?’ Tell them,‘ Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took its king, and its princes, and brought them to him to Babylon.

And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these[ things are] to us, that thou doest[ so]?

In the fifth[ day] of the month, which[ was] the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity,

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:

As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they[ be] a rebellious house.

And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me,[ even] unto this very day.For[ they are] impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear,( for they[ are] a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

How is it that ye do not understand that I spake[ it] not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

[ As] I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand[ of them] whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return.[ Is] this man Coniah a despised broken idol?[ is he] a vessel wherein[ is] no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?

And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.

That this may be a sign among you,[ that] when your children ask[ their fathers] in time to come, saying, What[ mean] ye by these stones?

Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou?Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; This burden[ concerneth] the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that[ are] among them.Say, I[ am] your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove[ and] go into captivity.

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth[ day] of the month,[ that] Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the[ first] year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison,And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that[ were] with him in Babylon,And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.And[ for] his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.

Jehoiachin[ was] eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did[ that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD.And when the year was expired, king Nebuchadnezzar sent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.

But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

And Philip ran thither to[ him], and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it.And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour,[ even] ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land,[ those] carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.And all the men of might,[ even] seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all[ that were] strong[ and] apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What[ mean] these stones?

[ And] when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What[ mean] the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?

And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?
