我们晓得律法上的话都是对律法以下之人说的，好塞住各人的口，叫普世的人都伏在神审判之下。

主啊，你是公义的，我们是脸上蒙羞的；因我们犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民，并以色列众人，或在近处，或在远处，被你赶到各国的人，都得罪了你，正如今日一样。主啊，我们和我们的君王、首领、列祖因得罪了你，就都脸上蒙羞。

因我所遭遇的是出于你，我就默然不语。

那时，你们必追想你们的恶行和你们不善的作为，就因你们的罪孽和可憎的事厌恶自己。主耶和华说：你们要知道，我这样行不是为你们。以色列家啊，当为自己的行为抱愧蒙羞。

你接待你姐姐和你妹妹的时候，你要追念你所行的，自觉惭愧；并且我要将她们赐你为女儿，却不是按着前约。

既是这样，哪里能夸口呢？没有可夸的了。用何法没有的呢？是用立功之法吗？不是，乃用信主之法。

说：“我的神啊，我抱愧蒙羞，不敢向我神仰面；因为我们的罪孽灭顶，我们的罪恶滔天。

这样，你必对我说：“他为什么还指责人呢？有谁抗拒他的旨意呢？”你这个人哪，你是谁，竟敢向神强嘴呢？受造之物岂能对造他的说：“你为什么这样造我呢？”

罪孽胜了我；至于我们的过犯，你都要赦免。

拯救我们的神啊，求你因你名的荣耀帮助我们！为你名的缘故搭救我们，赦免我们的罪。

你这论断人的，无论你是谁，也无可推诿。你在什么事上论断人，就在什么事上定自己的罪；因你这论断人的，自己所行却和别人一样。

使你与人不同的是谁呢？你有什么不是领受的呢？若是领受的，为何自夸，仿佛不是领受的呢？

我们从前也都在他们中间，放纵肉体的私欲，随着肉体和心中所喜好的去行，本为可怒之子，和别人一样。然而，神既有丰富的怜悯，因他爱我们的大爱，当我们死在过犯中的时候，便叫我们与基督一同活过来（你们得救是本乎恩）。

活人因自己的罪受罚，为何发怨言呢？

我们从前也是无知、悖逆、受迷惑、服侍各样私欲，和宴乐，常存恶毒嫉妒的心，是可恨的，又是彼此相恨。但到了神我们救主的恩慈和他向人所施的慈爱显明的时候，他便救了我们；并不是因我们自己所行的义，乃是照他的怜悯，藉着重生的洗和圣灵的更新。圣灵就是神藉着耶稣基督我们救主厚厚浇灌在我们身上的，好叫我们因他的恩得称为义，可以凭着永生的盼望成为后嗣。

“我是卑贱的！我用什么回答你呢？只好用手捂口。我说了一次，再不回答；说了两次，就不再说。”

我们既因信称义，就藉着我们的主耶稣基督得与神相和。我们又藉着他，因信得进入现在所站的这恩典中，并且欢欢喜喜盼望神的荣耀。
