I will set my face against them. Although they have come out of the fire, the fire will yet consume them. And when I set my face against them, you will know that I am the Lord.

Whoever flees at the sound of panic will fall into a pit, and whoever escapes from the pit will be caught in a trap. For the windows are opened from heaven, and the foundations of the earth are shaken.

The face of the Lord is set against those who do what is evil, to erase all memory of them from the earth.

I will turn against you, so that you will be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee even though no one is pursuing you.

For I have turned against this city to bring disaster and not good’”— this is the Lord’s declaration.“‘ It will be handed over to the king of Babylon, who will burn it down.’

I will not look on you with pity or spare you, but I will punish you for your ways and for your detestable practices within you. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.”
