若長荊棘和蒺藜，必被廢棄，近於咒詛，結局就是焚燒。

火也從它枝幹中發出，燒滅果子，以致沒有堅固的枝幹可做掌權者的杖。這是哀歌，也必用以作哀歌。

這樹已經被火焚燒，被刀砍伐；他們因你臉上的怒容就滅亡了。

他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的場，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡了。」

有權勢的必如麻瓤；他的工作好像火星，都要一同焚毀，無人撲滅。
