You have not repaired the cracks in the city wall for the people of Israel. So it will not stand firm in the battle on the day I judge you.

They will discard their silver in the streets, and their gold will be treated like filth. Their silver and gold will not be able to deliver them on the day of the LORD’s fury. They will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs because their wealth was the obstacle leading to their iniquity.

You are awesome! Yes, you! Who can withstand your intense anger?

For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand.Stand firm therefore, by fastening the belt of truth around your waist, by putting on the breastplate of righteousness,

The LORD’s great day of judgment is almost here; it is approaching very rapidly! There will be a bitter sound on the LORD’s day of judgment; at that time warriors will cry out in battle.That day will be a day of God’s anger, a day of distress and hardship, a day of devastation and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and dark skies,a day of trumpet blasts and battle cries. Judgment will fall on the fortified cities and the high corner towers.I will bring distress on the people and they will stumble like blind men, for they have sinned against the LORD. As far as I am concerned, far be it from me to sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you! I will instruct you in the way that is good and upright.

Do you have an arm as powerful as God’s, and can you thunder with a voice like his?

before God’s decree becomes reality and the day of opportunity disappears like windblown chaff, before the LORD’s raging anger overtakes you– before the day of the LORD’s angry judgment overtakes you!Seek the LORD’s favor, all you humble people of the land who have obeyed his commands! Strive to do what is right! Strive to be humble! Maybe you will be protected on the day of the LORD’s angry judgment.

The sunlight will be turned to darkness and the moon to the color of blood, before the day of the LORD comes– that great and terrible day!

How awful that day will be! For the day of the LORD is near; it will come as destruction from the Divine Destroyer.

With what can I equate you? To what can I compare you, O Daughter Jerusalem? To what can I liken you so that I might comfort you, O Virgin Daughter Zion? Your wound is as deep as the sea. I also told them,“ If they are really prophets and the LORD is speaking to them, let them pray earnestly to the LORD who rules over all. Let them plead with him not to let the valuable articles that are still left in the LORD’s temple, in the royal palace, and in Jerusalem be taken away to Babylon.

But now plead for God’s favor that he might be gracious to us.“ With this kind of offering in your hands, how can he be pleased with you?” asks the LORD who rules over all.

Indeed, the LORD who commands armies has planned a day of judgment, for all the high and mighty, for all who are proud– they will be humiliated;

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; when it comes, the heavens will disappear with a horrific noise, and the celestial bodies will melt away in a blaze, and the earth and every deed done on it will be laid bare.

Woe to those who wish for the day of the LORD! Why do you want the LORD’s day of judgment to come? It will bring darkness, not light.Disaster will be inescapable, as if a man ran from a lion only to meet a bear, then escaped into a house, leaned his hand against the wall, and was bitten by a poisonous snake.Don’t you realize the LORD’s day of judgment will bring darkness, not light– gloomy blackness, not bright light?

Then the LORD said to me,“ Even if Moses and Samuel stood before me pleading for these people, I would not feel pity for them! Get them away from me! Tell them to go away!

Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm signal on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land shake with fear, for the day of the LORD is about to come. Indeed, it is near!

For the LORD has planned a day of revenge, a time when he will repay Edom for her hostility toward Zion.

For they are the spirits of the demons performing signs who go out to the kings of the earth to bring them together for the battle that will take place on the great day of God, the All- Powerful.

For the day is near, the day of the LORD is near; it will be a day of storm clouds, it will be a time of judgment for the nations.

Crowds, great crowds are in the valley of decision, for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision!

But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God and said,“ O LORD, why does your anger burn against your people, whom you have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?Why should the Egyptians say,‘ For evil he led them out to kill them in the mountains and to destroy them from the face of the earth’? Turn from your burning anger, and relent of this evil against your people.

For you know quite well that the day of the Lord will come in the same way as a thief in the night.

I am not angry. I wish I could confront some thorns and briers! Then I would march against them for battle; I would set them all on fire,

So Aaron did as Moses commanded and ran into the middle of the assembly, where the plague was just beginning among the people. So he placed incense on the coals and made atonement for the people.He stood between the dead and the living, and the plague was stopped.

“ Separate yourselves from among this community, that I may consume them in an instant.”Then they threw themselves down with their faces to the ground and said,“ O God, the God of the spirits of all people, will you be angry with the whole community when only one man sins?”
