「人子啊，你要戰戰兢兢地吃飯，惶惶恐恐地喝水，

“人子啊！你要戰戰兢兢地吃你的飯，滿心憂慮地喝你的水。

『人子啊，你要戰戰兢兢地喫你的飯，要懷着震顫掛慮的心情喝你的水；

人子歟、爾當食餅兢兢、飲水慄慄、而懷憂懼、

人子、爾當食餅飲水、慄慄危懼、

人子、爾食餅、當戰慄、飲水、當恐懼憂慮、

所以你必在饥饿、干渴、赤身、缺乏中事奉仇敌，那是耶和华派来攻击你的。他必把铁轭加在你的颈项上，直到把你除灭。

你使地震动，崩裂；求你将裂口补好，因为地在摇动。你让你的子民遇见艰难，使我们喝那令人东倒西歪的酒。

我要断绝你们粮食的供应，使十个女人用一个烤炉给你们烤饼，按配给的定量秤给你们。你们要吃，却吃不饱。

因旷野有刀剑，我们冒生命的危险才能得粮食。

你以眼泪当食物给他们吃，量出满碗的眼泪给他们喝。

他又对我说：“人子，看哪，我必断绝耶路撒冷粮食的供应。他们要带着忧虑限量吃饼；带着惊惶限量喝水。他们因缺粮缺水，彼此惊惶，在自己的罪孽中消灭。”

我的心如草被踩碎而枯干，甚至我忘记吃饭。因我叹息的声音，我的肉紧贴骨头。我如同旷野的鹈鹕，好像荒地的猫头鹰。我清醒难以入眠，如同房顶上孤单的麻雀。我的仇敌整日辱骂我，向我叫号的人指着我赌咒。我吃灰烬如同吃饭，我喝的有眼泪搀杂。

至于你们幸存的人，我要使他们在敌人之地心中惊慌，甚至风吹落叶的声音也把他们吓跑。他们要逃避，像人逃避刀剑，虽无人追赶，却要跌倒。

你必酩酊大醉，满有愁苦。你姊姊撒玛利亚的杯，惊骇和凄凉的杯，

在那些国中，你必得不到安宁，脚掌也没有安歇之处；耶和华却要使你在那里心中发颤，眼目失明，精神沮丧。

我吃饭前就发出叹息，我的唉哼涌出如水。
