Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with carefulness;

“人子啊！你要战战兢兢地吃你的饭，满心忧虑地喝你的水。

「人子啊，你吃飯必膽戰，喝水必惶惶憂慮。

「人子啊，你吃飯時必戰抖，喝水時必驚惶憂慮。

「人子啊，你吃飯時必戰抖，喝水時必驚惶憂慮。

「人子啊，你要戰戰兢兢地吃飯，惶惶恐恐地喝水，

“人子啊！你要戰戰兢兢地吃你的飯，滿心憂慮地喝你的水。

『人子啊，你要戰戰兢兢地喫你的飯，要懷着震顫掛慮的心情喝你的水；

人子歟、爾當食餅兢兢、飲水慄慄、而懷憂懼、

人子、爾當食餅飲水、慄慄危懼、

人子、爾食餅、當戰慄、飲水、當恐懼憂慮、

“ Son of man, tremble as you eat your food, and shudder in fear as you drink your water.

“ Son of man, tremble with fear as you eat your food. Tremble as you drink your water.

“ Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink water with trembling and with anxiety.

“ Son of man, tremble as you eat your food. Shake with fear as you drink your water.

“ Son of man, eat your bread with trembling and drink your water with anxious shaking.

“ Son of man, eat your bread with trembling, and drink your water with quivering and anxiety.

“ Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and anxiety.

Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with fearfulness;

“ Son of man, eat your bread with trembling and drink your water with shaking and anxiety.

“ Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with fearfulness.

Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all[ things]: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

[ And] when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver[ you] your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

We gat our bread with[ the peril of] our lives because of the sword of the wilderness.

Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.

Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and consume away for their iniquity.

My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.Mine enemies reproach me all the day;[ and] they that are mad against me are sworn against me.For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,

And upon them that are left[ alive] of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.

Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of thy sister Samaria.

And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:

For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters.
