所以主耶和華如此說：你們在城中殺的人是肉，這城是鍋；你們卻要從其中被帶出去。

所以，主耶和華說，你們在城中殺死的人就是肉，這城就是鍋，但我必把你們從鍋中拉出來。

因此，主耶和華這樣說：你們棄置在城中的死人就是肉，這城就是鍋；至於你們，卻要從城中被趕出去。

因此主永恆主這麼說：你們刺死的人、就是你們所放在城中的、他們乃是肉，這城呢、乃是鍋；你們呢、卻要從城中被帶出。

故主耶和華曰、爾於斯邑、所陳之尸為肉、斯邑為鼎、惟爾被攜而出焉、

故我耶告華曰、爾既殺人、其尸若肉、斯邑若鼎、惟我逐爾於外。

故主天主如是云、爾於邑中所殺者、其屍若肉、斯邑若釜、惟爾曹我必逐出其中、

“ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: The bodies you have thrown there are the meat and this city is the pot, but I will drive you out of it.

“ So the Lord and King says,‘ The bodies you have thrown there are the meat. And the city is the cooking pot. But I will drive you out of it.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Your slain whom you have laid in the midst of it, they are the meat, and this city is the cauldron, but you shall be brought out of the midst of it.

“ Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: This city is an iron pot all right, but the pieces of meat are the victims of your injustice. As for you, I will soon drag you from this pot.

“‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: The slain you have put within it are the meat, and the city is the pot, but I will take you out of it.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ Your slain whom you have laid in the midst of the city are the meat and this city is the pot; but I will bring you out of it.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Your slain whom you have laid in its midst, they are the meat, and this city is the caldron; but I shall bring you out of the midst of it.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and this city is the caldron; but ye shall be brought forth out of the midst of it.

“ Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: The slain you have put within it are the meat, and the city is the pot, but I will remove you from it.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they[ are] the flesh, and this[ city is] the caldron: but I will bring you forth out of the midst of it.

Therefore, this is what the sovereign LORD says:‘ The corpses you have dumped in the midst of the city are the meat, and this city is the cooking pot, but I will take you out of it.

“‘ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:“ Your slain whom you have laid in the middle of it, they are the meat, and this is the cauldron; but you will be brought out of the middle of it.

你要向這悖逆之家設比喻，對他們說，主耶和華如此說：把鍋放在火上，放好了，倒水在其中；要將肉塊，一切肥美的肉塊，腿和肩都放在鍋裏，要裝滿上等的骨頭；要取羊羣中最好的，把柴堆在下面，把它煮開，骨頭煮在其中。「主耶和華如此說：禍哉！這流人血的城，就是長銹的鍋。它的銹未曾除掉，要將肉塊從其中一一取出，不必抽籤。這城所流的血還在城中，血倒在光滑的磐石上，沒有倒在地上，用土掩蓋；是我使這城所流的血倒在光滑的磐石上，不得掩蓋，為要惹動憤怒，施行報應。所以主耶和華如此說：禍哉！這流人血的城，我必親自加大柴堆。你要添上木柴，使火着旺，將肉煮爛，加上香料，烤焦骨頭；你要把空鍋放在炭火上，將鍋燒熱，把銅燒紅，鎔化其中的污穢，除淨其上的銹。然而這一切勞碌無效，它厚厚的銹，即使用火也除不掉。雖然我想潔淨你污穢的淫行，你卻不潔淨，你的污穢再也不能潔淨，直等我止息了向你發的憤怒。

你們惡善好惡，剝我百姓身上的皮，從他們的骨頭上剔肉，你們吃我百姓的肉，剝他們的皮，打斷他們的骨頭，如切塊下鍋，如釜中的肉。

護衛長拿住西萊雅大祭司、西番亞副祭司和門口的三個守衛，又從城中拿住一個管理士兵的官，並在城裏所找到王面前的五個親信，和召募當地百姓之將軍的書記官，以及在城中找到的六十個當地百姓。尼布撒拉旦護衛長把這些人帶到利比拉的巴比倫王那裏。巴比倫王擊殺他們，在哈馬地的利比拉把他們處死。這樣，猶大人就被擄去離開本地。至於猶大地剩下的百姓，就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒所留下的，巴比倫王立了沙番的孫子，亞希甘的兒子基大利作他們的省長。

我使你的額頭像金剛石，比火石更堅硬。他們雖是悖逆之家，但你不要怕他們，也不要因他們的臉色而驚惶。」他又對我說：「人子啊，我對你說的一切話，你心裏要領會，耳朵要聽。要到被擄的人，到你本國百姓那裏去，他們或聽，或不聽，你要對他們宣講，告訴他們這是主耶和華說的。」
