因此主永恆主這麼說：你們刺死的人、就是你們所放在城中的、他們乃是肉，這城呢、乃是鍋；你們呢、卻要從城中被帶出。

故主耶和華曰、爾於斯邑、所陳之尸為肉、斯邑為鼎、惟爾被攜而出焉、

故我耶告華曰、爾既殺人、其尸若肉、斯邑若鼎、惟我逐爾於外。

故主天主如是云、爾於邑中所殺者、其屍若肉、斯邑若釜、惟爾曹我必逐出其中、

“ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: The bodies you have thrown there are the meat and this city is the pot, but I will drive you out of it.

“ So the Lord and King says,‘ The bodies you have thrown there are the meat. And the city is the cooking pot. But I will drive you out of it.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Your slain whom you have laid in the midst of it, they are the meat, and this city is the cauldron, but you shall be brought out of the midst of it.

“ Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: This city is an iron pot all right, but the pieces of meat are the victims of your injustice. As for you, I will soon drag you from this pot.

“‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: The slain you have put within it are the meat, and the city is the pot, but I will take you out of it.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ Your slain whom you have laid in the midst of the city are the meat and this city is the pot; but I will bring you out of it.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Your slain whom you have laid in its midst, they are the meat, and this city is the caldron; but I shall bring you out of the midst of it.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and this city is the caldron; but ye shall be brought forth out of the midst of it.

“ Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: The slain you have put within it are the meat, and the city is the pot, but I will remove you from it.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they[ are] the flesh, and this[ city is] the caldron: but I will bring you forth out of the midst of it.

Therefore, this is what the sovereign LORD says:‘ The corpses you have dumped in the midst of the city are the meat, and this city is the cooking pot, but I will take you out of it.

“‘ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:“ Your slain whom you have laid in the middle of it, they are the meat, and this is the cauldron; but you will be brought out of the middle of it.

你要向叛逆的以色列人說比喻，告訴他們，主耶和華這樣說，『把鍋放在火上，裡面倒進水，把羊腿、羊肩等上好的肉塊放進鍋裡，讓鍋裡盛滿精選的骨頭。要從羊群中選一頭上好的羊，把柴堆在鍋下，燒開鍋煮裡面的骨頭。』」主耶和華說：「這像鏽鍋一樣充滿血腥的城有禍了！要把肉從這鏽跡斑斑的鍋中一塊塊地取出來。這城沾滿血腥，任憑受害者的血流在光禿禿的磐石上，而不是流在地上用土掩蓋。我任憑這城把受害者的血灑在磐石上，不加掩蓋，好激起我的烈怒，使她受報應。所以主耶和華說，『血腥的城啊，你有禍了！我要預備大堆木柴，添在火上，燃起旺火，把肉煮爛，加入香料，燒焦骨頭。然後，把倒空的鍋放在炭火上燒熱，把銅燒紅，好熔化它的雜質，除淨鏽垢，卻徒勞無功，因為鏽垢太厚，就是用火也不能清除。耶路撒冷啊，淫蕩使你污穢不堪，我要潔淨你，你卻不願被潔淨。所以，除非我向你傾盡一切憤怒，否則你的污穢將不能清除。

你們憎惡良善，喜愛邪惡，剝下我百姓的皮，從他們的骨頭上剔肉。你們吃我百姓的肉，剝我百姓的皮，打碎他們的骨頭，把他們切成塊，如同下在鍋裡、放進釜中的肉。

護衛長尼布撒拉旦擄走祭司長西萊雅、副祭司長西番亞和三名殿門守衛，還從城中拿住一名統管士兵的將領、王的五個親信、一名負責招兵的書記和六十名平民。護衛長尼布撒拉旦把他們帶到利比拉去見巴比倫王，巴比倫王在那裡處死了他們。猶大人就這樣被擄去，離開了家園。巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒任命基大利治理猶大的餘民。基大利是沙番的孫子、亞希甘的兒子。

護衛長擄走祭司長西萊雅、副祭司長西番亞、三名殿門守衛，又從城中擄走一名將領、王的七個親信、一名負責招兵的書記和六十名平民，把他們帶到利比拉去見巴比倫王。巴比倫王在那裡處死了他們。猶大人就這樣被擄去，離開了家園。

我要使你的額比火石更硬，如同金剛石。他們雖然是一群叛逆的人，你不要害怕，也不要因為他們的臉色而驚慌。」祂又說：「人子啊，你要留心聽我說的一切話，牢記在心。你要到你那些被擄的同胞那裡，不論他們聽不聽，你都要向他們宣告，『主耶和華這樣說。』」
