In my thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.

I was 30 years old. I was with my people. We had been taken away from our country. We were by the Kebar River in the land of Babylon. On the fifth day of the fourth month, the heavens were opened. I saw visions of God.

又曰、我誠告爾、爾將見天開、而天主之使者、陟降於人子上矣、

我起往平原、見主之榮光立於彼、與昔在迦巴魯河濱所見之榮光無異、我面伏於地、

烏西雅、約坦、亞哈斯、希西家、相繼為猶大王時、亞摩斯子以賽亞得默示、論猶大及耶路撒冷曰、

我布西子祭司以西結、在迦勒底地、迦巴魯河濱、得主之默示、蒙感於主之神、

主曰、爾曹宜聽我言、爾中若有先知、乃我耶和華藉異像顯現於彼、或託夢而與之言、

主以色列之天主如是云、被擄之猶大人、即我自斯地遷至迦勒底者、我必視若此佳無花果、施之以恩、我目必顧之、施之以恩、使返斯地、我將建之不復毀、植之不復拔、我必賦以識我之心、俾知我乃主、一心歸誠於我、彼為我之民、我為其天主、

由水而上、倏見天開、聖神如鴿降臨其上、

我自誇固於我無益、惟言主之顯現默示、

是夜、天主於異象中呼以色列曰、雅各、雅各、雅各曰、我在此、

我正觀天主之異象、即攜我至以色列地、置我於至高之山、近山南向、彷彿有城建立、

我專心觀此諸事、究此諸事、知善人與智人及其作為、皆為天主所掌、或愛或惡、人無所能知、因諸事盡屬未來、或愛或惡人無所能知因諸事盡屬未來或作或愛或惡與諸未來之事人無所能知眾人所遇之事、皆同然無異、義人、惡人、善人、潔者、不潔者、獻祭者、不獻祭者、行善者、作惡者、發誓者、忌發誓者、所遇惟一、

厥後我將以我之神賦畀萬人、俾爾子女言未來事、老者見夢兆、幼者見異象、

我屢諭先知、多賜默示、藉諸先知設譬、以教斯民、

自三十歲以上、至五十歲、凡能來供役、從事於會幕者、當核其數、

瞻覲以色列之天主、其足下如有藍寶石平鋪、又如天體之清、

我至特亞畢、特亞畢又作提勒亞畢就被擄之民、居於迦巴魯河濱者、我居被擄之民所居之處、在彼、在其中驚愕而坐、歷七日、○

視其面、即昔在迦巴魯河濱所見之面、其狀其體亦然、各直行以前、

下山時、耶穌命之曰、人子尚未由死復活、勿以所見者告人、○

嗣後、主於默示中諭亞伯蘭曰、毋懼、我必護爾如盾、爾必得大賚、
