The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness.

Therefore, the Lord has brought upon us the disaster he prepared. The Lord our God was right to do all of these things, for we did not obey him.

Then Saul pleaded again,“ I know I have sinned. But please, at least honor me before the elders of my people and before Israel by coming back with me so that I may worship the Lord your God.”

Then Saul admitted to Samuel,“ Yes, I have sinned. I have disobeyed your instructions and the Lord’s command, for I was afraid of the people and did what they demanded.

Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God.

Then Saul confessed,“ I have sinned. Come back home, my son, and I will no longer try to harm you, for you valued my life today. I have been a fool and very, very wrong.”

“ I have sinned,” he declared,“ for I have betrayed an innocent man.”“ What do we care?” they retorted.“ That’s your problem.”

The Lord is known for his justice. The wicked are trapped by their own deeds. Quiet Interlude

Then Balaam confessed to the angel of the Lord,“ I have sinned. I didn’t realize you were standing in the road to block my way. I will return home if you are against my going.”

But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.
