When Moses stretched out his staff toward the sky, the Lord sent thunder and hail, and lightning flashed down to the ground. So the Lord rained hail on the land of Egypt;

The Lord thundered from heaven, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.

And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

The Lord will cause His glorious voice to be heard, And show the descent of His arm, With the indignation of His anger And the flame of a devouring fire, With scattering, tempest, and hailstones.

He destroyed their vines with hail, And their sycamore trees with frost.He also gave up their cattle to the hail, And their flocks to fiery lightning.

Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;

And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.

“ At this also my heart trembles, And leaps from its place.Hear attentively the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling that comes from His mouth.He sends it forth under the whole heaven, His lightning to the ends of the earth.After it a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain them when His voice is heard.God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend.

The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightnings lit up the world; The earth trembled and shook.

He gave them hail for rain, And flaming fire in their land.He struck their vines also, and their fig trees, And splintered the trees of their territory.

Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.

And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth.

The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters.

“ Have you entered the treasury of snow, Or have you seen the treasury of hail,Which I have reserved for the time of trouble, For the day of battle and war?

Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.

Is today not the wheat harvest? I will call to the Lord, and He will send thunder and rain, that you may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which you have done in the sight of the Lord, in asking a king for yourselves.”So Samuel called to the Lord, and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day; and all the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel.
