眾術士因為生了瘡的緣故，不能站在摩西的面前；因為眾術士和所有埃及人身上都生了瘡。

於是王所有的智慧人都進來，卻不能讀那文字，也不能把意思向王說明。

到了早晨，法老心裡煩亂，就派人去把埃及所有的術士和智慧人都召了來；法老把自己的夢告訴他們，但是沒有人能替法老解夢。

你的智慧人在哪裡呢？萬軍之耶和華向埃及所定的旨意是怎樣的？就讓他們告訴你，使你知道吧！

耶穌說：“我看見撒但，像閃電一樣從天墜落。

迦勒底人在王面前回答說：“世上沒有人能把王所問的事說出來，因為從來沒有一個偉大和有權勢的君王向術士、用法術的和迦勒底人詢問過這樣的事。王所問的事很難答，除了那不和世人同住的神明以外，沒有人能在王面前把這事說出來。”

繼續使用你從幼年時就勞碌施行的符咒和許多的邪術吧！或者你可以得到益處，也許你能叫人戰慄。你因你許多的計劃而勞累；現在讓那些劃分天象的，觀看星辰的，在月朔時說預言的，都站起來，拯救你脫離要臨到你身上的事。

於是術士、用法術的、迦勒底人和占星家都進來；我當面把那夢告訴了他們，可是他們卻不能把夢的意思向我說明。

從前閻儡和閻悖怎樣反對摩西，這些人也怎樣反對真理。他們的心思敗壞，信仰也經不起考驗。然而他們不能再這樣下去了，因為他們的愚昧終必在眾人面前顯露出來，好像那兩個人一樣。
