Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Go to Pharaoh and say to him,‘ This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.

以色列的长老们必定听从你的话，你就跟他们一起去见埃及王，对他说，‘希伯来人的上帝耶和华向我们显现。现在请你容许我们走三天的路程，到旷野去，向我们的上帝耶和华献祭。’

上帝说：“我必与你同在，你带百姓离开埃及后，你们必在这座山上事奉我——这将是我派你去的证据。”

之后，摩西和亚伦去见法老，对他说：“以色列的上帝耶和华说，‘放我的子民走，让他们到旷野去为我守节期。’”

我对你说过让我的长子出去事奉我，但你执意不肯。看啊，我要杀你的长子。’”

你要对他说，‘希伯来人的上帝耶和华差遣我来告诉你，要让祂的子民到旷野去事奉祂，但到如今你还是不肯。

人子啊，不要怕他们和他们的话，虽然你周围布满荆棘和毒蝎，也不要害怕。他们是一群叛逆的人，你不要怕他们的话，也不要因为他们的脸色而惊慌。他们是叛逆的，不论他们听不听，你都要把我的话告诉他们。

现在，你要做好准备，去把我吩咐你的话告诉他们。不要惧怕他们，不然我将使你在他们面前充满恐惧。看啊，今天我已使你成为坚城、铁柱、铜墙，来对抗整个犹大，对抗犹大的君王、首领、祭司和境内的众民。他们必攻击你，但绝不能胜过你，因为我与你同在，我必拯救你。这是耶和华说的。”

耶和华对我说：“如果你回心转意，我就让你重新事奉我。如果你说有益的话，不说无益的话，就可以做我的发言人，百姓便会归向你，但你不可受他们的影响。我要使你成为坚固的铜墙，他们要攻击你，却不能胜过你，因为我与你同在，我会保护你，拯救你。这是耶和华说的。我要把你从恶人手中救出，从残暴之徒的权势下赎回。”
