But Moses spoke before the Lord, saying,“ Behold, the sons of Israel have not listened to me; how then will Pharaoh listen to me, as I am unskilled in speech?”

摩西却说：“以色列人都不听我的话，法老又怎么肯听我这拙口笨舌的人呢？”

摩西在耶和华面前说：“看哪，以色列人尚且不肯听我的话，法老又怎会听我的话呢？因为我是个拙口笨舌的人。”

摩西對永恆主抗議說：『看哪，以色列人尚且不聽我，法老怎肯聽我呢？我又是個拙口笨舌的人！』

摩西曰、以色列人尚不我聽、法老焉能聽我拙口者乎、

摩西對曰、我拙於口、以色列族且不聽、何論乎王。

But Moses said to the Lord,“ If the Israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips?”

But Moses said to the Lord,“ The people won’t listen to me. So why would Pharaoh listen to me? After all, I don’t speak very well.”

But Moses said to the Lord,“ Behold, the people of Israel have not listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?”

“ But Lord!” Moses objected.“ My own people won’t listen to me anymore. How can I expect Pharaoh to listen? I’m such a clumsy speaker!”

But Moses said in the LORD’s presence,“ If the Israelites will not listen to me, then how will Pharaoh listen to me, since I am such a poor speaker?”

And Moses spoke before the Lord, saying,“ The children of Israel have not heeded me. How then shall Pharaoh heed me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?”

And Moses spake before Jehovah, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?

But Moses said in the Lord’s presence:“ If the Israelites will not listen to me, then how will Pharaoh listen to me, since I am such a poor speaker?”

And Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who[ am] of uncircumcised lips?

But Moses replied to the LORD,“ If the Israelites did not listen to me, then how will Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with difficulty?”

Moses spoke before Yahweh, saying,“ Behold, the children of Israel haven’t listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, when I have uncircumcised lips?”

Then Moses said to the Lord,“ Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither recently nor in time past, nor since You have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”

Then I said,“ Oh, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, Because I am a youth.”

But Moses said before the Lord,“ Behold, I am unskilled in speech; how then will Pharaoh listen to me?”

To whom shall I speak and give warning, That they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed And they cannot listen. Behold, the word of the Lord has become for them a rebuke; They take no delight in it.

“ You men who are stiff necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears are always resisting the Holy Spirit; you are doing just as your fathers did.

I also was acting with hostility against them, to bring them into the land of their enemies— or if their uncircumcised heart is humbled so that they then make amends for their wrongdoing,

So Moses said this to the sons of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses on account of their despondency and cruel bondage.

Then Moses and Aaron went and assembled all the elders of the sons of Israel;and Aaron spoke all the words which the Lord had spoken to Moses. He then performed the signs in the sight of the people.So the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord was concerned about the sons of Israel and that He had seen their affliction, they bowed low and worshiped.

Then Moses said to God,“ Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them,‘ The God of your fathers has sent me to you.’ Now they may say to me,‘ What is His name?’ What shall I say to them?”

The foremen of the sons of Israel saw that they were in trouble, since they were told,“ You must not reduce your daily amount of bricks.”When they left Pharaoh’s presence, they met Moses and Aaron as they were waiting for them.And they said to them,“ May the Lord look upon you and judge you, because you have made us repulsive in Pharaoh’s sight and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us!”

Then I said,“ Woe to me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of armies.”

“ Moreover, the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul, so that you may live.

Egypt, Judah, Edom, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and all those inhabiting the desert who trim the hair on their temples; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised of heart.”
