“ Set up the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, on the first day of the first month.

The Lord spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the Desert of Sinai on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. He said: (niv)

They made fifty bronze clasps to fasten the tent together as a unit. (niv)

In the tent of meeting, outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law, Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps burning before the Lord from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come. (niv)
