天使回答她，说：“圣灵将要临到你，至高者的大能要荫庇你，因此，那要诞生的圣者将被称为神的儿子。

耶稣受了洗，一从水里上来，看哪，诸天就为他开了，他看见神的灵好像鸽子降下，临到他身上。

因肉体软弱的缘故，律法所做不到的，神却做到了——神派遣了自己的儿子成为罪的肉身样式，并且为了赎罪，用肉身判决了罪，

主耶和华的灵在我身上，因为耶和华膏抹我，要我传好消息给卑微的人；他派遣我去治愈心灵破碎的人，去宣告被掳的得自由、被囚的得释放，去宣告耶和华所悦纳的禧年、我们神的报复之日，去安慰所有悲哀的人，去供给锡安悲哀的人——赐给他们头饰代替灰烬，喜乐的膏油代替哀恸，赞美的衣服代替沮丧的灵。这样，他们就被称为“公义的橡树”，是耶和华所栽种的，为要显出他的荣耀。

神所差派的那一位，就说神的话语，因为神不靠着量度赐下圣灵。

从耶西的树墩必发出一个嫩芽，从他的根而出的枝子必结果实。耶和华的灵必停留在那一位身上，就是智慧和悟性的灵，谋略和大能的灵，知识和敬畏耶和华的灵。他以敬畏耶和华为乐，审断不凭眼见，裁决不凭耳闻。他必以公义审断贫弱者，以正直裁决世上的卑微人；以口中的杖击打世界，以嘴里的气杀死恶人。公义必作他的束带，信实必作他的腰带。
