Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem all your firstborn sons.“ No one is to appear before me empty-handed.

除酵之節你務要守，要照我所吩咐你的，喫無酵餅七天，要在亞筆月內的制定節期喫；因為你是在這個月出埃及的。誰也不可空手朝見我。

『一年三次你所有的男丁都要朝見永恆主你的上帝，在他所要選擇的地方、當除酵節七七節住棚節的時候朝見他；可不要空手朝見永恆主；

那時法老硬不要讓我們走，永恆主就把埃及地所有頭胎的，無論是頭胎的人、或是頭胎的牲口、都殺了，因此我把一切頭胎的公牲畜祭獻給永恆主，而將我一切頭胎的兒子都贖出來。

掃羅對僮僕說：『且慢，我們去，有甚麼可以帶給那人沒有？我們口袋中的食物都用盡了，也沒有見面禮可以帶給那神人呀！我們還有甚麼沒有？』僮僕應時對掃羅說：『看哪，我手裏有銀子一舍客勒的四分之一，可以送給那神人，請他將我們當走的路指示我們。』

凡有血肉的、一切頭胎的、無論是人是牲口、他們所獻與永恆主的、都要歸與你；只是人類頭胎的、你總要贖出來；不潔淨的牲口頭胎的、你也要贖出來。

所以你年年要按其制定節期守這條例。

『你要取利未人來代替以色列人中一切頭胎的，也取利未人的牲口來代替以色列人的牲口：利未人要屬我，我永恆主。至於頭胎的以色列人比利未人多餘了二百七十三個；這些人之被替贖、你要按人丁五舍客勒五舍客勒地去收取，按聖所的舍客勒取：一舍客勒是二十季拉；把多餘之人被替贖的銀子交給亞倫和他的兒子們。』於是摩西取了那替贖的銀子、從那比利未人多餘之人所被替贖的、從頭胎的以色列人取了銀子、一千三百六十五舍客勒，按聖所的舍客勒。摩西照永恆主所吩咐的、把被替贖的銀子交給亞倫和他的兒子們，正如永恆主所吩咐摩西的。

王對亞勞拿說：『不；我一定要按價值向你買；我不用白得之物做燔祭獻與永恆主我的上帝。』大衛就用五十舍客勒的銀子買了那禾場和牛。
