勿與居民立約、恐彼狥欲、從其神而獻祭、招爾共食祭品、

爾若與其地之居民立約、恐彼妄從其神、祭祀其神、招爾食其祭物、

然而，他們卻不聽從士師，竟隨從別神而行淫，向它們叩拜。他們列祖所行的道，所聽從耶和華的命令，他們都速速偏離了，並不照樣遵行。

耶和華對摩西說：「看哪，你必和你的祖先同睡。這百姓要起來，在他們所要去的地上，在那地的人中，隨從外邦的神明行淫，離棄我，違背我與他們所立的約。

這些女子請百姓一同為她們的神明獻祭，百姓吃了祭物，跪拜她們的神明。

關於吃祭過偶像的食物，我們知道「偶像在世上算不得甚麼」；也知道「上帝只有一位，沒有別的」。

他們又與巴力‧毗珥連合，吃了祭死人的物。

倘若有一個不信的人請你們吃飯，而你們也願意去，凡擺在你們面前的，只管吃，不要為良心的緣故問甚麼。

若有人見你這有知識的在偶像的廟裏坐席，而這人的良心是軟弱的，他豈不放膽去吃那祭過偶像的食物嗎？

他們不可再宰殺祭牲獻給他們行淫所隨從的山羊鬼魔。這要作他們世世代代永遠的定例。

你要謹慎，不可與你所要去那地的居民立約，免得他們成為你中間的圈套。

可是，不是人人都有這知識。有人到現在因拜慣了偶像，仍以為所吃的是祭過偶像的食物；既然他們的良心軟弱，也就污穢了。

因以色列輕忽了她的淫亂，與石頭和木頭行姦淫，她和這地就都污穢了。

我就要向這人和他的家人變臉，把他和所有跟隨他與摩洛行淫的人都從百姓中剪除。「人若轉向招魂的和行巫術的，隨從他們行淫，我就要向這人變臉，把他從百姓中剪除。

你們要佩帶這繸子，好叫你們看見它就記起耶和華一切的命令，並且遵行，不隨從自己內心和眼目的情慾而跟着行淫。

不，我是說，他們所獻的祭是祭鬼，不是祭上帝；我不願意你們與鬼來往。你們不能喝主的杯，又喝鬼的杯；不能吃主的筵席，又吃鬼的筵席。

耶和華說：「看哪，我要立約，要在你眾百姓面前行奇妙的事，是在全地萬國中未曾做過的。你周圍的萬民要看見我藉着你所行，耶和華可畏懼的作為。

拿着七個碗的七位天使中，有一位前來對我說：「來，我要讓你看那坐在眾水之上的大淫婦所要受的懲罰；地上的君王都曾與她行淫，住在地上的人也喝醉了她淫亂的酒。」我在聖靈感動下，被天使帶到曠野去，我看見一個女人騎在朱紅色的獸上；那隻獸有七個頭十個角，遍體有褻瀆的名號。那女人穿着紫色和朱紅色的衣服，用金子、寶石、珍珠作妝飾，手拿着金杯，杯中盛滿了可憎之物和她淫亂的污穢。在她額上寫着奧祕的名字，說：「大巴比倫，世上的淫婦和一切可憎之物的母。」

看哪，遠離你的，必要死亡；凡離棄你行淫的，你都滅絕了。

我的百姓求問木偶，以為木杖能指示他們；淫亂的心使他們失迷，以致行淫離棄他們的上帝，

他們向天上的上帝獻燔祭所需用的公牛犢、公綿羊、小綿羊，以及麥子、鹽、酒、油，都要照耶路撒冷祭司的話，每日供給他們，不得有誤；

然而，有一件事我要責備你，就是你容忍那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別教唆我的僕人，引誘他們犯淫亂，吃祭過偶像之物。

不可跟他們和他們的神明立約。

以色列啊，不要歡喜，像萬民一樣快樂；因為你行淫離棄你的上帝，喜愛各禾場上賣淫所得的賞金。

當耶和華－你的上帝把他們交給你，你擊殺他們的時候，你要完全消滅他們，不可與他們立約，也不可憐惜他們。
