Now Moses used to take a tent and pitch it outside the camp some distance away, calling it the“ tent of meeting.” Anyone inquiring of the Lord would go to the tent of meeting outside the camp.

這要作你們世世代代常獻的燔祭，獻在會幕的門口，耶和華的面前，我要在那裡與你們相會，在那裡和你們說話。我要在那裡與以色列人相會，會幕就會因我的榮耀被尊為聖。

那些祭牲的血，由大祭司帶進聖所作贖罪祭，祭牲的身體卻要在營外焚燒。所以耶穌也是這樣在城門外受苦，為的是要藉著自己的血使人民成聖。那麼，讓我們也出到營外到他那裡去，擔當他的凌辱。

但你們在那裡必尋求耶和華你的神；如果你一心一意尋找他，就必尋見。

即使他們把兒女養大，我也必使他們喪子，一個不留。我離棄他們的時候，他們就有禍了。”

耶和華遠離惡人，卻垂聽義人的禱告。

大衛在位的日子，有連續三年的饑荒；大衛就尋求耶和華的面。耶和華說：“這是因為掃羅和掃羅家流人血的罪，因為他曾經殺死了基遍人。”

耶和華啊！你已經看見了，求你不要緘默；主啊！求你不要遠離我。

你們要趁著耶和華可以尋找的時候，尋找他，趁著他靠近的時候，呼求他。惡人要離棄自己的道路，不義的人當除去自己的意念，回轉過來歸向耶和華，耶和華就必憐憫他。你們當回轉過來歸向我們的神，因為他大大赦免人的罪。

“你們祈求，就給你們；尋找，就尋見；叩門，就給你們開門。因為凡祈求的就得著，尋找的就尋見，叩門的就給他開門。

而是你們的罪孽使你們與你們的神隔絕；你們的罪惡使他掩面不顧你們，不聽你們的禱告。

你說：“你們要尋求我的面！”那時我的心對你說：“耶和華啊！你的面我正要尋求。”

耶和華啊！你為甚麼遠遠地站著？在患難的時候，你為甚麼隱藏起來呢？
