凡你所到的地方，我要使那裏的眾百姓在你面前驚慌失措，又要使你所有的仇敵轉身逃跑。我要派瘟疫在你的前面，把希未人、迦南人、赫人從你面前趕出去。我不在一年之內把他們從你面前趕出去，恐怕地會荒廢，野地的走獸增多危害你。我要逐漸把他們從你面前趕出去，直到你的人數增多，承受那地為業。我要定你的疆界，從紅海直到非利士海，從曠野直到大河。我要把那地的居民交在你手中，你要把他們從你面前趕出去。

「看哪，我要差遣使者在你前面，在路上保護你，領你到我所預備的地方。

我也曾說：要把你們從埃及的困苦中領出來，往迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人的地去，就是到流奶與蜜之地。』

耶和華－你的神必將這些國從你面前漸漸趕出；你不可迅速把他們消滅，免得野地的走獸多起來危害你。

「我今天所吩咐你的，你要謹守。看哪，我要從你面前趕出亞摩利人、迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人。

我下來是要救他們脫離埃及人的手，領他們從那地上來，到美好與寬闊之地，到流奶與蜜之地，就是迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之地。
