He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said,“ These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”

He took what they gave him and made it into a metal statue of a god. It looked like a calf. Aaron shaped it with a tool. Then the people said,“ Israel, here is your god who brought you up out of Egypt.”

And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden calf. And they said,“ These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!”

Then Aaron took the gold, melted it down, and molded it into the shape of a calf. When the people saw it, they exclaimed,“ O Israel, these are the gods who brought you out of the land of Egypt!”

He took the gold from them, fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made it into an image of a calf. Then they said,“ Israel, these are your gods, who brought you up from the land of Egypt!”

Then he took the gold from their hands, and fashioned it with an engraving tool and made it into a cast metal calf; and they said,“ This is your god, Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.”

And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said,“ This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”

民鑄金為犢、自謂導民出埃及之上帝即此、於是干爾震怒、

乃鑄像若犢、祭之、喜己手所作也、

我見爾、於爾上帝耶和華所示之道、違之甚速、鑄像如犢。

我所諭之道、彼違甚速、鑄犢崇拜祭祀、稱之曰以色列族乎、導爾出埃及之上帝、即此。

作偶像者、悉為虛妄、其所慕者無益、彼明知其不見不聞、當生愧怍。誰鑄無益之偶像、以像上帝哉、

籌思既竟、作二金犢、告民曰、詣耶路撒冷甚難、昔導以色列族出自埃及之上帝即此。

今爾有眾、奉耶羅破暗所作金犢、尊為上帝、意謂能拒耶和華所賜大闢子孫之國、

民在何烈、鑄犢成形、而崇拜之兮、昔歸榮上帝、今則不然、拜跪犢像、犢惟嚙蒭兮、上帝在埃及行異跡、在含作奇事、在紅海彰厥威、欲手援斯民、民忘之兮、

耶羅破暗擅立祭司、在諸崇坵、奉事魑魅、及所作犢像。

爾曹以何物比儗上帝、以何像像之、工塑偶像、飾以金箔、垂以銀鏈、

人傾囊、出其金銀、權其輕重、以畀工人、俾鑄上帝像、俯伏崇拜、

撒馬利亞人在伯亞文、奉事犢像、彩色剝落、祭司戰慄、庶民殷憂、

昔尼八子耶羅破暗、在伯特利、但二邑、立金犢、使以色列族陷罪、今耶戶亦尤而效之。

子以金一千有百反其母。母曰、我為子已獻金於耶和華、以鑄偶像、及雕刻之形、故仍反於爾。子復以金反母、母取金二百、以與金工、使鑄偶像、及雕刻之形、置於米迦室。

顧彼既知上帝、猶不以上帝尊之謝之、乃志意虛妄、心頑蒙昧、自稱為智、適成愚魯、不崇永生上帝之榮、反拜速朽世人禽獸昆蟲之像、

勿以金銀鑄上帝匹我。

民見摩西遲回於山不下、則集亞倫前、曰摩西率我出埃及、今彼不知所往、爾盍鑄上帝像、為我先導。

既為上帝亦子、則上帝之體、不可以若金、若銀、若石、人工機巧琢之、

今為惡益甚、匠人以巧捷之技、鎔銀鑄像、祭司命眾、敬彼犢像、接吻以為禮、

彼所簡之王、所立之牧、非我所悅、以金銀作偶像、必為我所殄絕。撒馬利亞人拜犢像、作可惡之事、我深痛疾、爾不向善、伊於何底、

猶玉工鐫印然、鐫以色列族名、於二玉上、鑄金二方、嵌玉其中。
