緣民使亞倫鑄犢、故耶和華降災於民。

於是主降災於民、緣其造犢、即亞倫所造之犢、

這時候，賣耶穌的猶大看見耶穌已經定了罪，就後悔，把那三十塊錢拿回來給祭司長和長老，說：「我賣了無辜之人的血是有罪了。」他們說：「那與我們有甚麼相干？你自己承當吧！」猶大就把那銀錢丟在殿裏，出去吊死了。祭司長拾起銀錢來，說：「這是血價，不可放在庫裏。」他們商議，就用那銀錢買了窰戶的一塊田，為要埋葬外鄉人。

摩西見百姓放肆（亞倫縱容他們，使他們在仇敵中間被譏刺），

這人用他作惡的工價買了一塊田，以後身子仆倒，肚腹崩裂，腸子都流出來。

亞倫從他們手裏接過來，鑄了一隻牛犢，用雕刻的器具做成。他們就說：「以色列啊，這是領你出埃及地的神。」

你為甚麼藐視耶和華的命令，行他眼中看為惡的事呢？你借亞捫人的刀殺害赫人烏利亞，又娶了他的妻為妻。你既藐視我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻為妻，所以刀劍必永不離開你的家。』

那時，他們造了一個牛犢，又拿祭物獻給那像，歡喜自己手中的工作。
