Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin.”

Therefore now go, lead the people unto[ the place] of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.

伸冤報應在我，到了時候他們會失腳。因為他們遭難的日子近了，他們的厄運快要臨到。

「看哪，我要差遣使者在你前面，在路上保護你，領你到我所預備的地方。

如此，地上所有義人流的血都歸到你們身上，從義人亞伯的血起，直到你們在聖所和祭壇中間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止。

不可跪拜那些像，也不可事奉它們，因為我耶和華－你的上帝是忌邪的上帝。恨我的，我必懲罰他們的罪，自父及子，直到三、四代；

「這邪惡的會眾向我發怨言要到幾時呢？以色列人向我發的怨言，我都聽見了。你要告訴他們，耶和華說：『我指着我的永生起誓，我必照你們在我耳中所說的待你們。你們的屍體必倒在這曠野中。你們中間被數點，凡二十歲以上向我發怨言的，必不得進我所起誓應許給你們居住的那地。惟有耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞才能進去。

我豈不因這些事施行懲罰嗎？像這樣的國家，我豈能不報復呢？這是耶和華說的。

我也曾說：要把你們從埃及的困苦中領出來，往迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人的地去，就是到流奶與蜜之地。』

他們在一切苦難當中，他也同受苦難，並且他面前的使者拯救他們。他以慈愛和憐憫救贖他們，在古時的日子時常抱他們，背他們。

我們哀求耶和華，他垂聽了我們的聲音，差遣使者把我們從埃及領出來。看哪，我們到了你邊界的加低斯城。

還是你藐視他豐富的恩慈、寬容、忍耐，不知道他的恩慈是領你悔改嗎？你竟放任你剛硬不悔改的心，為自己累積憤怒！在憤怒的日子，上帝公義的審判要顯示出來。他要照各人的行為報應各人。

耶和華說：「我必親自去，讓你安心。」摩西說：「你若不親自去，就不要把我們從這裏領上去。

我要差遣使者在你前面，把迦南人、亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人趕出

我懲罰以色列罪孽的日子，也要懲罰伯特利的祭壇；祭壇的角必被砍下，墜落於地。

耶和華－我們的上帝啊，你應允了他們；你是赦免他們的上帝，卻按他們所做的報應他們。
