Aaron said,“ Don’t let the anger of my lord grow hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

亞倫回答說：「求我主不要動怒，你知道這些人專門作惡。

亞倫回答：“求我主不要發烈怒，你知道這人民傾向罪惡。

亞倫說：『求我主不要生氣；你認識這人民，知道他們是一味作壞事的。

亞倫曰、我主勿怒、斯民決志作惡、爾所知也、

亞倫曰、我主勿怒、爾知斯民、惟惡是作、

亞倫曰、我主毋怒、爾知斯民專於作惡、

“ Do not be angry, my lord,” Aaron answered.“ You know how prone these people are to evil.

“ Please don’t be angry,” Aaron answered.“ You know how these people like to do what is evil.

And Aaron said,“ Let not the anger of my lord burn hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

“ Don’t get so upset, my lord,” Aaron replied.“ You yourself know how evil these people are.

“ Don’t be enraged, my lord,” Aaron replied.“ You yourself know that the people are intent on evil.

And Aaron said,“ Do not let the anger of my lord burn; you know the people yourself, that they are prone to evil.

So Aaron said,“ Do not let the anger of my Lord become hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.

And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on evil.

“ Don’t be enraged, my lord,” Aaron replied.“ You yourself know that the people are intent on evil.

And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they[ are set] on mischief.

Aaron said,“ Do not let your anger burn hot, my lord; you know these people, that they tend to evil.

You have been rebellious against Yahweh from the day that I knew you.

They said to Moses,“ Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?

Notwithstanding they didn’t listen to Moses, but some of them left of it until the morning, so it bred worms and became foul; and Moses was angry with them.

The people murmured against Moses, saying,“ What shall we drink?”

Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned; for I have transgressed the commandment of Yahweh, and your words, because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

Remember, and don’t forget, how you provoked Yahweh your God to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you left the land of Egypt until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against Yahweh.

For I know your rebellion and your stiff neck. Behold, while I am yet alive with you today, you have been rebellious against Yahweh. How much more after my death?

For they don’t sleep unless they do evil. Their sleep is taken away, unless they make someone fall.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ How long do you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws?

The whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness;and the children of Israel said to them,“ We wish that we had died by Yahweh’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots, when we ate our fill of bread, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”Then Yahweh said to Moses,“ Behold, I will rain bread from the sky for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.

Therefore the people quarreled with Moses, and said,“ Give us water to drink.” Moses said to them,“ Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test Yahweh?”The people were thirsty for water there; so the people murmured against Moses, and said,“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?”Moses cried to Yahweh, saying,“ What shall I do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.”

He plots iniquity on his bed. He sets himself in a way that is not good. He doesn’t abhor evil.
