When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain.

As Moses approached the camp, he saw the calf. He also saw the people dancing. So he was very angry. He threw the tablets out of his hands. They broke into pieces at the foot of the mountain.

And as soon as he came near the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, Moses’ anger burned hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.

When they came near the camp, Moses saw the calf and the dancing, and he burned with anger. He threw the stone tablets to the ground, smashing them at the foot of the mountain.

看見你們為自己鑄造了牛犢像，得罪了你們的上帝耶和華，這麼快就偏離了耶和華吩咐你們走的道，就當著你們的面摔碎了那兩塊石版。

『凡不遵行這律法的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』

我又把那根叫「聯合」的杖折斷，以斷開猶大和以色列之間的手足之情。

這約不同於我與他們祖先所立的約，就是我牽著他們祖先的手領他們離開埃及時所立的。雖然我是他們的丈夫，他們卻違背了我的約。這是耶和華說的。」

摩西懇求他的上帝耶和華說：「耶和華啊，你為什麼要向你的子民發烈怒呢？這些子民是你親自用神蹟和大能從埃及領出來的。

不要因生氣而犯罪，不要到日落時還怒氣未消，

耶穌看見後很生氣，對門徒說：「讓小孩子到我這裡來，不要阻止他們，因為上帝的國屬於這樣的人。

大衛穿著細麻布的以弗得在耶和華面前盡情跳舞。

但我告訴你們，凡無緣無故向弟兄發怒的，要受審判；凡罵弟兄是白癡的，要受公會的審判；凡罵弟兄是笨蛋的，難逃地獄的火。

我們心中的快樂消失，我們的舞蹈變成了哀哭。

耶穌生氣地看著四周這些人，為他們的心剛硬而感到難過。祂對那人說：「把手伸出來！」那人一伸手，手就立刻復原了。

亞倫的姐姐米利暗是個先知，她手拿小鼓，帶領婦女擊鼓跳舞，

然後，我拿起那根叫「恩惠」的杖，把它折斷，以廢除我與萬民所立的約。約就在當天廢除了，那些注視著我的困苦羊便知道這是上帝的話。

其實摩西為人十分謙和，比世上任何人都謙和。

亞倫用這些金耳環鑄造了一頭牛犢。他們說：「以色列人啊，這就是把你們帶出埃及的神明。」亞倫見狀，便在牛犢前面築了一座壇，然後宣告說：「明天是耶和華定的節期。」第二天清晨，百姓都上前來獻燔祭和平安祭，獻完祭後就坐下吃喝，起來狂歡。
