我要在战争呐喊的日子，在旋风狂吹时，在拉巴城内放火，吞灭它的宫殿；

万民哪，你们都要鼓掌！用欢呼的声音向神呼喊！

每逢角声一响，它说：‘啊哈！’它从远处闻到战争的气息，听见军官如雷的吼声和呐喊。

到了第七次，祭司吹角的时候，约书亚对百姓说：“呼喊吧，因为耶和华已经把城交给你们了！

以色列人和犹大人就起来呐喊，追赶非利士人，直到该和以革伦的城门。被杀的非利士人倒在路上，从沙拉音直到迦特和以革伦。

参孙到了利希，非利士人对着他喊叫。耶和华的灵大大感动参孙，他手臂上的绳子就像着火的麻一样，绑他的绳子从他手上脱落下来。

他们彼此唱和，赞美称谢耶和华：“他本为善，他向以色列永施慈爱。”他们赞美耶和华的时候，众百姓大声呼喊，因为耶和华殿的根基已经立定。然而有许多祭司、利未人和族长，就是见过先前那殿的老年人，现在亲眼看见这殿立了根基，就大声哭号，也有许多人大声欢呼，百姓不能分辨欢呼的声音或哭号的声音，因为百姓大声呼喊，声音连远处都可听到。

摩西说：“这不是打胜仗的声音，也不是打败仗的声音，我听见的是歌唱的声音。”

耶和华的约柜到了营中，全以色列就大声欢呼，连地都震动。非利士人听见欢呼的声音，就说：“为何希伯来人在营里这么大声欢呼呢？”他们知道耶和华的约柜到了营中。

羊角声拖长的时候，你们一听见角声，众百姓要大声呼喊，城墙就必倒塌，各人要往前直上。”

万军之耶和华指着自己起誓说：我必使人遍满各处像蝗虫一样，他们必呐喊攻击你。

约书亚吩咐百姓说：“你们不可呼喊，不可让人听见你们的声音，连一句话也不可出你们的口，直到我对你们说‘呼喊’的那日，你们才呼喊。”

大卫早晨起来，把羊交托一个看守的人，照耶西所吩咐的带着食物去了。到了军营，军队刚出到战场，呐喊叫阵。

我要降火在摩押，吞灭加略的宫殿，摩押必在闹哄、呐喊、吹角声中灭亡；

于是百姓呼喊，祭司吹角。百姓一听见角声就大声呼喊，城墙随着倒塌。百姓上去进城，各人往前直上，把城夺取。
