遂更唱迭和、讚美稱謝耶和華曰、彼乃善良、慈惠永存於以色列、民眾見耶和華室基已立、於讚美耶和華之際、大聲而呼、祭司利未人及族長、曾見古室之耆老、今目睹立斯室之基、大聲哭號者多、欣然歡呼者亦多、民眾大聲而呼、其聲遠聞、哭號與歡呼之聲、民不能辨、

曰、非戰勝之聲、亦非戰敗之聲、我所聞者、乃謳歌之聲也、

耶和華約匱既入營、以色列眾大聲號呼、地為響應、非利士人聞號呼之聲、則曰、希伯來營大聲號呼、曷故、嗣知耶和華匱入營、

吹角聲長、爾曹聞之、眾當大聲而呼、城垣則圮、民各直前、

萬軍之耶和華指己而誓曰、我必使敵若蝗、充牣爾中、彼必向爾號呼、○

約書亞命民曰、勿號呼、勿發聲、勿出言、迨我命爾號呼之日、始可號呼、

大衛晨興、以羊付守者、遵耶西命、取物而行、至列車之所、適軍旅列陳而出、鼓譟以戰、

他必降火於摩押、燬加畧宮室、摩押必死於鼓譟喧譁角聲之中、

於是民眾號呼、祭司吹角、民聞角聲、遂大號呼、城垣則圮、眾各直入、而取其城、
