要把壇放在帷帳前面、對着裏面的法櫃、在法櫃上的除罪蓋前面；那蓋就是我要和你相會的地方。

置壇於法匱旁之㡘外、法版之上、施恩座前、我將臨汝之處、

於法匱簾外、施恩所前、我涖臨之處、必置其壇。

當以臺置於掩法匱之幔前、與法匱上之贖罪蓋、即我降臨諭爾之所相對、

Put the altar in front of the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law— before the atonement cover that is over the tablets of the covenant law— where I will meet with you.

Put the altar in front of the curtain that hangs in front of the ark. The ark is where the tablets of the covenant law are kept. The ark will have a cover. It will be the place where sin is paid for. There I will meet with you.

And you shall put it in front of the veil that is above the ark of the testimony, in front of the mercy seat that is above the testimony, where I will meet with you.

Place the incense altar just outside the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant, in front of the Ark’s cover— the place of atonement— that covers the tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant. I will meet with you there.

“ You are to place the altar in front of the curtain by the ark of the testimony— in front of the mercy seat that is over the testimony— where I will meet with you.

You shall put this altar in front of the veil that is near the ark of the testimony, in front of the atoning cover that is over the ark of the testimony, where I will meet with you.

And you shall put it before the veil that is before the ark of the Testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the Testimony, where I will meet with you.

And thou shalt put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy- seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee.

“ You are to place the altar in front of the veil by the ark of the testimony— in front of the mercy seat that is over the testimony— where I will meet with you.

And thou shalt put it before the vail that[ is] by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that[ is] over the testimony, where I will meet with thee.

“ You are to put it in front of the curtain that is before the ark of the testimony( before the atonement lid that is over the testimony), where I will meet you.

You shall put it before the veil that is by the ark of the covenant, before the mercy seat that is over the covenant, where I will meet with you.

Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law that I will give you.There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites. (niv)

Grind some of it to powder and place it in front of the ark of the covenant law in the tent of meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you. (niv)

At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split (niv)

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (niv)

Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its buildings, its storerooms, its upper parts, its inner rooms and the place of atonement. (niv)

Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,which had the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory, overshadowing the atonement cover. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now. (niv)

“ Make a curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen, with cherubim woven into it by a skilled worker.Hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood overlaid with gold and standing on four silver bases.Hang the curtain from the clasps and place the ark of the covenant law behind the curtain. The curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.Put the atonement cover on the ark of the covenant law in the Most Holy Place.Place the table outside the curtain on the north side of the tabernacle and put the lampstand opposite it on the south side. Moses placed the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the curtain (niv)

“ For the generations to come this burnt offering is to be made regularly at the entrance to the tent of meeting, before the Lord. There I will meet you and speak to you;there also I will meet with the Israelites, and the place will be consecrated by my glory. (niv)

He is to put the incense on the fire before the Lord, and the smoke of the incense will conceal the atonement cover above the tablets of the covenant law, so that he will not die. (niv)
