There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.

逾四十載、於西乃山野、棘火焰中、主之使者、顯與摩西、摩西見而奇之、近前諦視、聞主聲曰、我乃爾祖之上帝、即亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝也、摩西戰慄不敢視、主曰、解爾履、爾所立之處聖地也、我民在埃及者、我見其苦、常聞嘅歎之聲、故臨拯之、往哉、我遣爾之埃及也、民嘗拒摩西、云、誰立爾為有司刑官耶、而上帝託棘中所見之使者、遣摩西為有司救主、

地與土產之寶、俱錫於彼。昔約瑟遠兄弟而去、願居於棘中者降福於其首。

吾欲兄弟知、吾在亞西亞遭苦、見壓特甚、勢不可當、欲保生命、已絕其望、自擬必死、所以我不恃己、惟恃甦人之上帝、昔拯我於危亡、今又拯我、復望其將拯我矣、

論死者復生、摩西棘中篇詳之矣、其稱主為亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝、

論死者復生、上帝云、我乃亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝、載在摩西書棘中篇、爾未讀乎、

萬有之主耶和華曰、我遣使者、備道於我前、爾所求所悅之上主、盟約之天使、果將至矣、率入厥殿、

我左右爾、雖涉江河、不致沉淪、雖經烈燄、不致焚燬。

耶和華導爾出埃及、如脫冶爐、以爾為所得之民、即以今日之事為證。

爾往屬以色列長老、而告之曰、爾祖之上帝亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之上帝耶和華、顯現於我、曰、我眷顧爾、爾於埃及所受、我無不鑒之。

俾敵人踐予、予經水火之中、入膏腴之壤兮、

耶和華之使者、遇之於野、其地近泉、去書耳之路無幾。曰、撒勑婢夏甲、適從何來、茲欲何去。曰、避主母撒勑、曰、可歸主母、仍服其下。又曰、我將增爾苗裔、生齒繁衍、不可勝數。又曰、爾今懷妊、必生男子、因耶和華俯念爾苦、可命名以實馬利。彼將為野人、攻眾而眾亦攻彼、其所居地、在同儕之東。夏甲既蒙耶和華所諭、則稱其名曰、爾乃監我之上帝。蓋曰、我非於此、以景仰夫監我者乎、

夫道成人身、居於我儕之間、我儕見其榮、誠天父獨生子之榮、以恩寵真理而滿也、○

方伯州牧邑宰、與王之議士大和會、觀斯三人、火焰不傷、首髮不炙、衣不變色、火燎之臭、亦未之有、

蓋律法以我情欲、故無力脫我於惡、惟上帝遣己子、身等罪人、以贖人罪、滅吾身之罪、

拯我出患難之天使、願錫嘏童蒙、當為吾子、為吾祖父亞伯拉罕以撒子孫、使昌熾於地。○

萬有之主耶和華曰、惟爾鋒刃、勃然而興、擊我牧者、伐我同儔、牧者擊矣、群羊散矣、式微之子、我將加以眷顧、

得志於天使、涕泣以求恩、後在伯特利、遇上帝與之言、萬物之上帝、厥名耶和華、歷世為誌、

民遭患難、主懷憂戚、自天遣使、以拯其災、特加眷愛、以贖其身、自昔迄今、扶翼之者屢矣。

耶和華上帝見摩西回步履、則自棘中呼之曰、摩西、摩西。曰、我在此。曰、爾勿前、解爾履、爾立之所乃聖地。又曰、我乃爾祖之上帝、即亞伯拉罕之上帝、以撒之上帝、雅各之上帝、摩西蒙其面、不敢覲上帝。耶和華曰、我鑒吾民、受苦於埃及、人督其役、上籲於我、惟我聽聞、知其殷憂。我降臨以拯之、脫於埃及人手、導出其境、以詣至腴至廣之地、其地產乳與蜜、即迦南人、赫人、亞摩哩人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人所處者。埃及人虐遇以色列族、其籲上聞於我、我已鑒之。今將遣爾見法老、導我民以色列族、出於埃及。

耶和華之使者自天復呼亞伯拉罕、曰、耶和華指己而誓、曰、因爾行是、不惜嫡子一人、

斯實耶和華之旨、使之糜爛、憂心悄悄、獻祭贖罪、可享遐齡、若子若孫、熾昌弗絕、耶和華之志、無不大成。耶和華曰、余有良臣、先患難、後結果、心無不悅、彼也、任人愆尤、使人咸知斯理、得稱為義、

耶和華曰、爾當知爾苗裔必旅於異邦、服役良苦、歷四百年。越至於後、役爾裔之異邦人、我必譴之、拯爾苗裔、大獲所有以出。爾必享遐齡、安然返本、而葬焉。越至四世、爾之苗裔、將歸斯土、蓋亞摩哩人罪未貫盈。日入幽暗、時有烟燄之洪爐、已燃之明燈、由牲牷中而過、
