宜命以色列民、取橄欖擣清油、使燈常燃、

宣告以色列族、取橄欖擣油、惟潔是務、使燈常燃。

爾當諭以色列人、以油果搗成最清潔可燃燈之油、取以予爾、使燈常燃、

“ Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning.

“ You shall command the people of Israel that they bring to you pure beaten olive oil for the light, that a lamp may regularly be set up to burn.

“ You are to command the Israelites to bring you pure oil from crushed olives for the light, in order to keep the lamp burning regularly.

“ And you shall command the children of Israel that they bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to cause the lamp to burn continually.

純金的燈臺、燈盞、燈臺的一切器具、燈油；

橄欖樹說，『我怎能因為貪圖凌駕於眾樹之上而停止出產用來尊崇神與人的橄欖油呢？』

在我敵人面前你為我擺設宴席，又用膏油澆我的頭，使我恩福滿溢。

「要用純金造一個燈臺，燈臺的燈座、燈柱、油杯、花瓣和花苞要用一塊純金打造。燈臺的兩邊要各伸出三個分枝，共六個分枝。每個分枝要伸出三個杏花形狀、有花瓣和花苞的杯，六個分枝都是這樣。燈臺上要有四個杏花形狀、有花瓣和花苞的杯。燈臺上每一對分枝的相連處要有花苞，三對都是這樣。整座燈臺，包括一切裝飾，都要用一塊純金打造。此外，要為燈臺造七個燈盞，放在燈臺上面，照亮前面的地方。

我又問天使：「燈臺左右的兩棵橄欖樹是什麼意思？」然後我又問道：「流出橄欖油的兩個金管旁邊的兩根橄欖枝是什麼意思？」他說：「你不知道嗎？」我說：「主啊，我不知道。」他說：「這是侍立在天下之主旁邊的兩位受膏者。」

耶和華對摩西說：「你要吩咐以色列人給你拿來純橄欖油，作點燈之用，使燈常常亮著。在會幕遮掩約櫃的幔子外，亞倫要負責照看燈，使燈從晚上到早晨一直亮著。這是你們世世代代都要遵守的律例。亞倫要常常照看這些放在純金燈臺上的燈。

這兩位見證人就是豎立在世界之主面前的那兩棵橄欖樹和兩座燈臺。
