“ Have them make an ark of acacia wood— two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.

“ Have them make an ark out of acacia wood. It must be a chest three feet nine inches long and two feet three inches wide and high.

“ They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

比撒列用金合欢木做一个柜子，长二肘半，宽一肘半，高一肘半。里里外外包上纯金，四围镶上金边。他又铸了四个金环，安在柜子的四脚上；这边两个环，那边两个环。

“那时，耶和华对我说：‘你要凿出两块石版，和先前的一样，上山到我这里来。你也要造一个木柜。我要把你先前摔碎的版上所写的字，写在这版上；你要把这版放在柜里。’于是我用金合欢木造了一个柜子，又凿出两块石版，和先前的一样。我手里拿着这两块版上山。

于是，上帝天上的圣所开了，在他圣所中，他的约柜出现了；随后有闪电、响声、雷轰、地震、大冰雹。

所罗门把法老的女儿迁出大卫城，上到他为她建造的宫里，因所罗门说：“耶和华约柜所到之处都是圣地，所以我的妻子不可住在以色列王大卫的宫里。”
