Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said,“ This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”

因為公牛和山羊的血不能除罪。所以，基督到世上來的時候，就說：「祭物和禮物不是你所要的，但你曾給我預備了身體。

摩西將血的一半盛在盆中，另一半灑在壇上。

我必灑清水在你們身上，你們就潔淨了。我要潔淨你們，使你們脫離一切的污穢，棄絕一切的偶像。

飯後，他也照樣拿起杯來，說：「這杯是用我的血所立的新約；你們每逢喝的時候，要如此行，來記念我。」

因為這是我立約的血，為許多人流出來，使罪得赦。

但願賜平安的神，就是那憑永約之血，把羣羊的大牧人－我們主耶穌從死人中領出來的神，

耶穌對他們說：「這是我立約的血，為許多人流出來的。

就是照父神的預知，藉着聖靈得以成聖，以致順服耶穌基督，又蒙他血所灑的人。願恩惠、平安多多地賜給你們！

飯後他照樣拿起杯來，說：「這杯是用我的血所立的新約，為你們流出來的。

錫安哪，我因與你立約的血，要從無水坑裏釋放你中間被囚的人。

同樣，他也必使許多國家驚奇，君王要向他閉口。未曾傳給他們的，他們必看見；未曾聽見過的事，他們要明白。

摩西取些膏油和壇上的血，彈在亞倫和他的衣服上，以及他兒子和他們的衣服上，使亞倫和他的衣服，他兒子和他們的衣服都成為聖。

我們藉着這愛子的血得蒙救贖，過犯得以赦免，這是照他豐富的恩典，

所以，第一個約也是用血立的。因為摩西當日照着律法將各樣誡命傳給眾百姓，就拿朱紅色絨和牛膝草，把牛犢、山羊的血和水灑在書上，又灑在眾百姓身上，說：「這血就是神與你們立約的憑據。」他又照樣把血灑在帳幕和敬拜用的各樣器皿上。
