我立为柱子的这块石头必成为上帝的殿。凡你赐给我的，我必把十分之一献给你。”

亚希雅将身上的新衣撕作十二片，

他们为此献上一百头公牛犊，二百只公绵羊和四百只绵羊羔，又照以色列十二支派的数目献上十二只公山羊，作全体以色列人的赎罪祭。

使你们在我的国中和我一同坐席，并且坐在宝座上审判以色列的十二个支派。”

约书亚把从约旦河取来的十二块石头立在吉甲，

“你去从民众中选出十二个人，每支派选一人，吩咐他们从约旦河床祭司站立的地方取十二块石头，放在你们今天晚上住宿的地方。”

约书亚把这些话都写在上帝的律法书上，又把一块大石头竖立在耶和华圣所旁边的橡树下。然后，他对民众说：“看啊，这块石头可以为我们作证，它听到了耶和华所吩咐我们的话。如果你们背弃上帝，它必作证。”

当时被誉为教会柱石的雅各、彼得和约翰明白了上帝赐给我的恩典之后，就与我和巴拿巴用右手行相交之礼，让我们向外族人传福音，他们向受割礼的人传福音。

你们要为我筑一座土坛，把你们的牛羊献在坛上作燔祭和平安祭。凡是我使自己的名号被尊崇的地方，我会亲临那里赐福给你们。你们若为我筑石坛，不可用凿刻的石头，因为用工具凿刻的石头会玷污祭坛。不可踩着台阶登我的祭坛，免得露出你们的下体。

以色列人就照约书亚的吩咐，也就是照耶和华对约书亚的吩咐，按以色列人支派的数目，从约旦河中取了十二块石头，搬来放在住宿的地方。约书亚又在约旦河床抬约柜的祭司站立的地方立了十二块石头。石头至今还在那里。

城墙共有十二块基石，基石上刻着羔羊的十二位使徒的名字。

要用刻图章的方法在每一颗宝石上刻一个以色列儿子的名字，十二颗宝石代表十二支派。
