你要謹慎自己和自己的教訓，要在這些事上恆心；因為這樣行，又能救自己，又能救聽你的人。

「你只要謹慎，殷勤保守你的心靈，免得忘記你親眼所看見的事，又免得你一生，這事離開你的心；總要傳給你的子子孫孫。

不可與你們中間所剩下的這些國民攙雜。他們的神，你們不可提他的名，不可指着他起誓，也不可事奉、叩拜；

萬軍之耶和華說：「那日，我必從地上除滅偶像的名，不再被人記念；也必使這地不再有假先知與污穢的靈。

因為我必從我民的口中除掉諸巴力的名號，這名號不再提起。

又要謹慎，恐怕有人失了神的恩；恐怕有毒根生出來擾亂你們，因此叫眾人沾染污穢；

只要切切地謹慎遵行耶和華僕人摩西所吩咐你們的誡命律法，愛耶和華－你們的神，行他一切的道，守他的誡命，專靠他，盡心盡性事奉他。」

以別神代替耶和華的，他們的愁苦必加增；他們所澆奠的血我不獻上；我嘴唇也不提別神的名號。

你們要謹慎行事，不要像愚昧人，當像智慧人。

你們要分外謹慎，愛耶和華－你們的神。

他若恆久遵行我的誡命典章如今日一樣，我就必堅定他的國位，直到永遠。』現今在耶和華的會中，以色列眾人眼前所說的，我們的神也聽見了。你們應當尋求耶和華－你們神的一切誡命，謹守遵行，如此你們可以承受這美地，遺留給你們的子孫，永遠為業。「我兒所羅門哪，你當認識耶和華－你父的神，誠心樂意地事奉他；因為他鑒察眾人的心，知道一切心思意念。你若尋求他，他必使你尋見；你若離棄他，他必永遠丟棄你。

因為他們暗中所行的，就是提起來也是可恥的。

尼波、巴力‧免、西比瑪（尼波、巴力‧免，名字是改了的），又給他們所建造的城另起別名。

我曾說：我要謹慎我的言行，免得我舌頭犯罪；惡人在我面前的時候，我要用嚼環勒住我的口。

你們要對他們如此說：不是那創造天地的神，必從地上從天下被除滅！）

也要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，用火焚燒他們的木偶，砍下他們雕刻的神像，並將其名從那地方除滅。

「所以，你們要分外謹慎；因為耶和華在何烈山、從火中對你們說話的那日，你們沒有看見甚麼形像。
