「倘若有貧苦的同胞向你借錢，你不可像放債的一樣從中取利。

“我民中有贫穷人与你同住，你若借钱给他，不可如放债的向他取利。

“我的子民中有困苦人在你那里，你若借钱给他，不可如放债的向他取利息。

“我的子民中有困苦人在你那里，你若借钱给他，不可如放债的向他取利息。

“倘若有贫苦的同胞向你借钱，你不可像放债的一样从中取利。

“如果你借钱给我的人民，就是与你们在一起的穷人，你对待他们不可像放债的人一样，不可在他们身上取利。

『我的人民中有貧困的人在你附近；你若把銀錢借給他，不可像放債的對待他，不可在那上頭加利息。

吾民貧者、與爾偕居、若貸之金、勿為債主、而取其利、

如我民貧乏、而爾貸以金、毋取利、毋迫索。

我民中之貧者、與爾同處、爾若貸之以銀、毋如計利者使之償息、

“ If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not treat it like a business deal; charge no interest.

“ Suppose you lend money to one of my people among you who is in need. Then do not treat it like a business deal. Do not charge any interest at all.

“ If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be like a moneylender to him, and you shall not exact interest from him.

“ If you lend money to any of my people who are in need, do not charge interest as a money lender would.

“ If you lend silver to my people, to the poor person among you, you must not be like a creditor to him; you must not charge him interest.

“ If you lend money to My people, to the poor among you, you are not to act as a creditor to him; you shall not charge him interest.

“ If you lend money to any of My people who are poor among you, you shall not be like a moneylender to him; you shall not charge him interest.

If thou lend money to any of my people with thee that is poor, thou shalt not be to him as a creditor; neither shall ye lay upon him interest.

“ If you lend money to My people, to the poor person among you, you must not be like a moneylender to him; you must not charge him interest.

If thou lend money to[ any of] my people[ that is] poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.

“ If you lend money to any of my people who are needy among you, do not be like a moneylender to him; do not charge him interest.

“ If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor. You shall not charge him interest.

他不放債取利，也不受賄去坑害無辜。這樣的人必永遠堅立不搖。

「如果你們的同胞生活日益貧窮，難以維生，你們要像照顧外族人和寄居者一樣照顧他的生活，讓他住在你們當中。你們不可從中謀利，要敬畏上帝，讓他住在你們當中。你們借錢給他，不可收取利息；借糧給他，不可謀利。

「你們借給同胞錢、糧食或其他任何東西，都不可收取利息。你們可以向外族人收取利息，但不可向同胞收取。這樣，在你們將要佔領的土地上，你們的上帝耶和華必使你們凡事蒙福。

不放債取利，不犯罪作惡，反而公平待人，

經過深思熟慮後，我便斥責這些貴族和官員，說：「你們竟然向同胞放高利貸！」於是我召開大會處理他們的問題。

人放高利貸牟利，等於為扶貧者積財。

不壓榨貧窮的人，不放債取利，反而遵守我的典章，順從我的律例，這人必不因父親的罪惡而死亡，他必活著。

在你這城中，他們受賄殺人，放債取利，壓榨鄰居，早把我忘了。這是主耶和華說的。

婦人將經過告訴上帝的僕人，上帝的僕人對她說：「你去把油賣了還債，你們母子可以用剩下的錢度日。」

有一個先知的妻子哀求以利沙說：「你僕人——我丈夫怎樣敬畏耶和華，你是知道的。如今他去世了，債主來取我的兩個孩子做奴隸。」

母親啊，我真不幸，因為你生了我這個跟全猶大爭論、激辯的人。我沒有向人借貸，也沒有借貸給人，然而人人都咒罵我。

放債取利，這樣的人還能活著嗎？他必不能活。他作惡多端，必自取滅亡，抵償自己的血債。

有的說：「我們和我們的兒女人口眾多，需要糧食來活命。」有的說：「因為饑荒的緣故，我們要將田地、葡萄園和房屋作抵押來獲取糧食。」有的說：「我們要借錢才能繳納王對我們的田地和葡萄園徵收的稅。我們和他們是同胞，我們的孩子就像他們的孩子。但現在我們的兒女要被迫成為僕婢，甚至我們的女兒有些已經淪為奴婢。我們卻無能為力，因為我們的田地和葡萄園已經歸別人了。」

我和我的兄弟及僕人都借錢、借糧給民眾，現在我們要停止放高利貸。你們今天就要歸還他們的田地、葡萄園、橄欖園和房屋，以及你們向他們所收的五穀、新酒和油的利息。」

為什麼不把我的銀幣存進錢莊，到我回來時可以連本帶利收回來？』

就應該把錢存入錢莊，等我回來時，可以連本帶利還給我。』
