But suppose the animal really was stolen. Then the neighbor must pay the owner back.

牲畜若从看守的那里被偷去，他就要赔还本主；

牲畜若从受托人那里被偷去，他就要赔偿原主；

牲畜若从受托人那里被偷去，他就要赔偿原主；

但若牲畜是被人偷去的，受托人就要赔偿失主。

如果牲畜真的从看守的人那里被偷去，他就要赔偿给物主。
