『人若偷了牛或羊，無論是屠宰了、是賣了，他都要賠償，將五隻牛還一隻牛，將四隻羊還一隻羊。

永恆主告訴摩西說：『若有人犯罪，對永恆主不忠實，在存放或交易的事上欺騙他的同伴，或是搶奪或是欺壓他的同伴，或是撿了人所失掉的東西而在那事上欺騙人、假意起誓：在人所作的這一切事的任一件上犯了罪；他若這樣犯了罪而覺得有罪責，那麼他就要歸還他所搶奪的贓物、或因欺壓而得的勒索物、或人所存放在他手裏的存放物、或是他所撿着人失掉的東西，或是任何假意起誓所牽涉到的東西，他都要按原數償還，另外加上五分之一，在獻解罪責祭的日子交給物主。他要把他的解罪責祭牲、就是羊羣中一隻完全沒有殘疾的公綿羊、牽到永恆主面前、交給祭司、照你估定的價做解罪責祭。

沒有牛、就沒有穀子；出產豐盛、由於耕牛的力量。

那麼、他就要承認他所犯的罪，將所虧負人的按原數賠還，另外加上五分之一、給受虧負的人。
