And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD;[ but] the LORD[ was] not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake;[ but] the LORD[ was] not in the earthquake:And after the earthquake a fire;[ but] the LORD[ was] not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD’S house.And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD,[ saying], For[ he is] good; for his mercy[ endureth] for ever.

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

And ye shall flee[ to] the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come,[ and] all the saints with thee.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only[ ye heard] a voice.

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether[ it be] beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.

The voice of thy thunder[ was] in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.

And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw[ it], they removed, and stood afar off.

For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
