主諭摩西曰、爾往就民、使之今日明日潔己滌衣、

其時祭司尚寡、不能盡剝火焚祭牲之皮、同族利未人助之、待其事畢、亦待他祭司自潔、蓋利未人誠心自潔、較祭司尤為殷勤、

曰、為平康、我來欲祭主、爾當自潔而來、偕我食祭肉、撒母耳使耶西與其子潔己、延之食祭肉、

會中多有人未自潔、故利未人為一切不潔之人、即凡在主前未潔己者、宰逾越節之羔、以法蓮、瑪拿西、以薩迦、西布倫、多有人未自潔、亦食逾越節之羔、不符所錄之例、希西家為之祈禱、曰、凡一心尋求主其列祖之天主者、雖不循聖所之潔禮自潔、求至善之主赦之、

摩西下山至民處、使民潔己滌衣、又諭民曰、當預備第三日、毋近妻、

第七日爾曹當滌衣自潔、然後入營、○

對曰、我主自知之、曰、彼經歷大難而來、曾以羔之血滌其衣、而衣潔白、
