Jethro, Moses’ father- in- law, came with Moses’ sons and his wife to Moses into the wilderness where he was encamped, at the Mountain of God.

Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, together with Moses’ sons and wife, came to him in the wilderness, where he was camped near the mountain of God.

Moses’ father- in- law Jethro came to Moses in the desert. Moses’ sons and wife came with Jethro. Moses was camped near the mountain of God.

Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, came with his sons and his wife to Moses in the wilderness where he was encamped at the mountain of God.

Jethro, Moses’ father in law, now came to visit Moses in the wilderness. He brought Moses’ wife and two sons with him, and they arrived while Moses and the people were camped near the mountain of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father- in- law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God’s mountain, to Horeb.

He said,“ Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

Yahweh’s glory settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. The seventh day he called to Moses out of the middle of the cloud.The appearance of Yahweh’s glory was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.

and be ready for the third day; for on the third day Yahweh will come down in the sight of all the people on Mount Sinai.

Yahweh came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. Yahweh called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

He arose, and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, God’s Mountain.
