耶和華諭摩西曰、我將塗亞瑪力之誌於天下、當筆之於簡、誦之於約書亞耳、

耶和華諭摩西曰、我將滅亞馬力族於天下、當載於簡、口誦之、俾約書亞聽聞。

主諭摩西曰、我必從天下除滅亞瑪力人之名、爾當筆之於書以為誌、口誦使約書亞聞之、

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ This is something to be remembered. So write it on a scroll. Make sure Joshua knows you have done it. I will completely erase the memory of the Amalekites from the earth.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”

After the victory, the Lord instructed Moses,“ Write this down on a scroll as a permanent reminder, and read it aloud to Joshua: I will erase the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”

The LORD then said to Moses,“ Write this down on a scroll as a reminder and recite it to Joshua: I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek under heaven.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this in a book as a memorial and recite it to Joshua, that I will utterly wipe out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.”

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

The Lord then said to Moses,“ Write this down on a scroll as a reminder and recite it to Joshua: I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek under heaven.”

And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this[ for] a memorial in a book, and rehearse[ it] in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

The LORD said to Moses,“ Write this as a memorial in the book, and rehearse it in Joshua’s hearing; for I will surely wipe out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under the sky.”

David fought them from dusk until the evening of the next day, and none of them got away, except four hundred young men who rode off on camels and fled. (niv)

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.” (niv)

David and his men reached Ziklag on the third day. Now the Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They had attacked Ziklag and burned it, (niv)

Then Balaam saw Amalek and spoke his message:“ Amalek was first among the nations, but their end will be utter destruction.” (niv)

Edom and Moab, the Ammonites and the Philistines, and Amalek. He also dedicated the plunder taken from Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah. (niv)

“ This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord— a lasting ordinance. (niv)

This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand and a reminder on your forehead that this law of the Lord is to be on your lips. For the Lord brought you out of Egypt with his mighty hand. (niv)

“ Speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people. Ask them,‘ Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing? (niv)

Then Saul attacked the Amalekites all the way from Havilah to Shur, near the eastern border of Egypt.He took Agag king of the Amalekites alive, and all his people he totally destroyed with the sword. (niv)

At the Lord’s command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. This is their journey by stages: (niv)

tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.” (niv)

The name of the righteous is used in blessings, but the name of the wicked will rot. (niv)

And he sent you on a mission, saying,‘ Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; wage war against them until you have wiped them out.’ (niv)

Moses then wrote down everything the Lord had said. He got up early the next morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain and set up twelve stone pillars representing the twelve tribes of Israel. (niv)

So Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the Levitical priests, who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel. (niv)

Shall we then break your commands again and intermarry with the peoples who commit such detestable practices? Would you not be angry enough with us to destroy us, leaving us no remnant or survivor? (niv)

Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished. (niv)

The memory of him perishes from the earth; he has no name in the land. (niv)

After the death of Saul, David returned from striking down the Amalekites and stayed in Ziklag two days. (niv)

They killed the remaining Amalekites who had escaped, and they have lived there to this day. (niv)

“ Oh, that my words were recorded, that they were written on a scroll, (niv)

“ He asked me,‘ Who are you?’“‘ An Amalekite,’ I answered.“ Then he said to me,‘ Stand here by me and kill me! I’m in the throes of death, but I’m still alive.’“ So I stood beside him and killed him, because I knew that after he had fallen he could not survive. And I took the crown that was on his head and the band on his arm and have brought them here to my lord.”Then David and all the men with him took hold of their clothes and tore them.They mourned and wept and fasted till evening for Saul and his son Jonathan, and for the army of the Lord and for the nation of Israel, because they had fallen by the sword.David said to the young man who brought him the report,“ Where are you from?”“ I am the son of a foreigner, an Amalekite,” he answered.David asked him,“ Why weren’t you afraid to lift your hand to destroy the Lord’s anointed?”Then David called one of his men and said,“ Go, strike him down!” So he struck him down, and he died.For David had said to him,“ Your blood be on your own head. Your own mouth testified against you when you said,‘ I killed the Lord’s anointed.’” (niv)

Now David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites and the Amalekites.( From ancient times these peoples had lived in the land extending to Shur and Egypt.)Whenever David attacked an area, he did not leave a man or woman alive, but took sheep and cattle, donkeys and camels, and clothes. Then he returned to Achish. (niv)

This is what the Lord Almighty says:‘ I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt.Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’” (niv)

Remember what the Amalekites did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt.When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and attacked all who were lagging behind; they had no fear of God.When the Lord your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land he is giving you to possess as an inheritance, you shall blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven. Do not forget! (niv)
