When Moses’s hands grew heavy, they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat down on it. Then Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other so that his hands remained steady until the sun went down.

When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up— one on one side, one on the other— so that his hands remained steady till sunset.

When Moses’ arms got tired, Aaron and Hur got a stone and put it under him. Then he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held up his hands. Aaron was on one side, and Hur was on the other. Moses’ hands remained steady until sunset.

Brothers and sisters, pray for us also.

because I know this will lead to my salvation through your prayers and help from the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

while you join in helping us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gift that came to us through the prayers of many.

Draw the spear and javelin against my pursuers, and assure me,“ I am your deliverance.”

Then he came and found them sleeping. He said to Peter,“ Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn’t you stay awake one hour?Stay awake and pray so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”Once again he went away and prayed, saying the same thing.And again he came and found them sleeping, because they could not keep their eyes open. They did not know what to say to him.

Therefore, strengthen your tired hands and weakened knees,

Then he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. He asked Peter,“ So, couldn’t you stay awake with me one hour?Stay awake and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”Again, a second time, he went away and prayed,“ My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.”And he came again and found them sleeping, because they could not keep their eyes open.After leaving them, he went away again and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.Then he came to the disciples and said to them,“ Are you still sleeping and resting? See, the time is near. The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind.

Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.

Devote yourselves to prayer; stay alert in it with thanksgiving.
