我要使法老的心刚硬，他要追赶他们，我便在法老和他全军身上得荣耀；埃及人就知道我是耶和华。”于是以色列人这样行了。

我必使之剛愎厥心、追襲於後、我將獲榮於法老、及其軍旅、俾埃及人知我為耶和華、以色列人遂如是行、

法老剛愎厥心、追襲爾後、我姑聽之、迨殲法老、覆其軍、以獲大榮、使埃及人知行是事者、我耶和華也。以色列族遵命而行。○

我使法老剛愎其心、追以色列人、我則因法老與其全軍而獲大榮、俾伊及人知我乃主、以色列人遂如此行、

And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” So the Israelites did this.

I will make Pharaoh stubborn. He will chase them. But I will gain glory for myself because of what will happen to Pharaoh and his whole army. And the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” So the Israelites camped by the Red Sea.

And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord.” And they did so.

And once again I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after you. I have planned this in order to display my glory through Pharaoh and his whole army. After this the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord!” So the Israelites camped there as they were told.

但如果神想要显出他的震怒，显明他的能力，就以极大的耐心容忍那些承受震怒的器皿，就是他早已预备要归于灭亡的器皿，那又怎么样呢？再者，如果这是为要将他那荣耀的丰盛显明在这些得蒙怜悯的器皿，就是他早已预备要归于荣耀的器皿上，那又怎么样呢？

原来经上有话对法老说：“我兴起你，正是为此：好让我藉着你来显出我的大能，使我的名传遍天下。”

开口说：“这大巴比伦，难道不是我以自己的权能力量建为国都，为要显出我威严的尊荣吗？”这话还在王的口中，就有声音从天上降下，说：“尼布甲尼撒王啊，这是对你的宣告：你的国权从你那里被移除了！你必从人间被赶出，你的住处必与田野的走兽在一起；你必像牛那样吃牧草，让七个时期从你流过，直到你明白：至高者在人的国中掌权，他愿意把国赐给谁就赐给谁。”这话立刻就应验在尼布甲尼撒身上；他从人间被赶出，像牛那样吃牧草，身体被天上的露水湿透，直到他的头发长得像鹰的羽毛，指甲长得像鸟的爪子。那些日子结束了，我尼布甲尼撒举目望天，我的理智回到我身上。我就颂赞至高者，称赞、尊崇永远活着的那一位——他的权柄是永远的权柄，他的国度世世代代长存！地上所有的居民都算为无有，他照着自己的旨意对待天上的众军和地上的居民。没有人能拦住他的手，或对他说：“你做什么？”——当时，我的理智回到我身上；为了我国家的尊荣，我的威严、我的光辉也回到我身上。我的谋士们、我的大臣们又来寻求我，我的国权重新坚立，超卓的权势也加增给我。如今我尼布甲尼撒称赞、高举、尊崇天上的王，因为他一切的作为都是确实的，一切的道路都是公正的，他能使行事骄傲的人降卑。

这些事以后，我听见天上有大声音，好像一大群人的声音，说：“哈利路亚！救恩、荣耀、权能都属于我们的神！因为他的审判是真实的、公义的，因为他审判了那用自己的淫乱败坏大地的大淫妇，并且为他奴仆们的血，向那淫妇讨回了公道。”他们第二次说：“哈利路亚！焚烧她时的烟往上冒，直到永永远远！”二十四位长老和四个活物就俯伏敬拜那坐在宝座上的神，说：“阿们！哈利路亚！”随后，有声音从宝座上传来，说：“神所有的奴仆们哪，所有敬畏他的，无论卑微尊贵，你们要赞美我们的神！”接着，我听见好像一大群人的声音，也像众水的声音，又像大雷鸣的声音，说：“哈利路亚！因为我们的主、神、全能者做王了！

到那日，人眼目的高慢必成卑贱，人的高傲也必会降卑，唯独耶和华被高举。因为必有万军之耶和华的一个日子，临到所有傲慢高傲的和所有自高的，使他们成为卑贱；

正如经上所记：“神给了他们昏迷的心灵、看不见的眼睛、听不见的耳朵，直到今天。”
