但祂若保持缄默，谁能定祂有罪？祂若掩起脸来，谁能看得见祂？个人和国家都靠祂垂顾，

他们看见这城后，大惊失色，慌忙逃跑。

祂一看大地，大地就震动；祂一摸群山，群山就冒烟。

这时，在以色列人前面领路的上帝的天使，转到百姓后面，云柱也随着移到后面立住。云柱停在埃及军队和以色列人的中间，埃及军队这边一片黑暗，以色列人那边却有光，双方整夜都无法接近对方。

第二天，扫罗把以色列人分成三队，在黎明时分突袭亚扪人的军营，把他们杀得大败，直到中午才收兵。亚扪人的残兵四散奔逃。

你却说，‘上帝知道什么？祂怎能隔着幽暗施行审判？

祂使他们战车的轮子脱落，难以前行。于是，埃及人说：“我们逃命吧，因为耶和华在帮助以色列人对付我们！”
